The Feds investigation is a whitewash as the cop has committed perjury (fabricated evidence) to a grand jury and should have been behind bars for contempt of court. The Federal Appeals Court that squashed the convictions and ruled that she lied has also by default granted her an absolute immunity from perjury by not taking any action against her. Only the courts could. As for the Fed's charging her under the Civil Rights Act, they will have a slight chance for a conviction. The victim's best bet is to go ahead with the lawsuit. Good decision from her lawyers.
