How did Somalis embrace gang culture? No father figure! The number one reason why youth join gangs is absent fathers. When you don't have a father in your life, you seek out fathers in the neighbourhood. So the older guy on your street becomes a father figure to you and gives you money. Soon he's coming to you to sell his drugs, hide his guns in your house. Our youth are easily brainwashed and led astray. Having a good father will complete eradicate the gang problem in our community.
