Being a traditional man and behind in many social trends, one of the ways I avoided ever getting an item intended for woman was, I always went to MEN's clothing stores only. Here is the irony though, one day I was in this store in Easton Mall, Columbus, Ohio, which had men's sign in it. I pick up this pants but then it didn't have pockets in the back. I asked the salesman in there, sir aren't you guys selling men's clothes here? He responded yes. I asked him wtf is this pants then? He responded it is for unisex. Tag hooyadaa iyo unisexkaad sheegaysidba waxaa ku sameeye baan ku iri. I got out of that place , run like a wildfire, and went to the nearby Starbucks where Somali bros were. I told them what happened. They all laughed, and directed me to another place.

Ever since that experience, I make sure before I buy any stuff for myself, I get directions from at least 2 different places that Somalis meet: (1) Starbucks; (2) Somali Barber Shops.
