Question for the Football (Soccer) Fans in Europe

Post by gegiroor »

In every football game, when players are coming out of the warming rooms into the field where the game should take place, I see them holding hands with little children. I am not getting the point why these players want to hold hands with little children in the field, and I am curious are these their children? Or perhaps some crazy football maniacs are sending their children to football players they like, so they and their kids can brag about being able to hold hands with certain football stars?

Whatever the reason, I found the whole thing bizarre, and it reminds me of Michael Jackson's wonderland mansion where his fans used to send their kids to him so they can stay in that mansion with him.

Why does it have to be sinster if the footballers walk out with kids.
kids are random chosen from local schools.. They promote good sportsmanship and to promote football with the younger generation.. that goes to show how corrupt your mind is..

Gegiroor get your mind out of the gutter His a video of Ronaldo doing a prank I'm Madrid he take his disguise off the child and signs the ball for him and gives him a hug.. I don't see anything inappropriate about that.....

Aisha, I don't doubt the intention and think it is a noble one, but sending your kids to some strangers you like their talent in TV because you're a football/soccer fan? I found that whole thing to be bizarre. If I, as a parent, want to be there with them the whole time, then that is ok with me. But it seems some of the parents don't see their kids in days  Perhaps it is football fever that is just getting out of control.

I think you taking this way to seriously.. of course am adult that the child knows either their teacher or parent is with them I doubt they are going to send little kids in by themselves

Letting your kids stay with teachers for days without being there and present?

Fyi, some of the teachers are reported to be predators in TV daily.

U have been too Americanized.

I wonder if u would feel the same if it was women with random kids.

No wonder some fathers cant walk/play with their own kids in public spaces without some one watching/giving them glaring eyes.

Not too long ago, a father has been stopped by police because people called; fearing for the kid because they didnt look alike.

The intention of FIFA and players is a good one; I do't doubt it. However, sending your kids to random strangers is what I questioned.

Perhaps I shouldn't assume the worst 8-)

So kids in america can go to summer camp with their teachers and sleep in in the woods with camp staff they just met, but a kid in europe holding hands with a super star footballer whilst their parents are watching in the stands and a 100 cameras are pointed is wrong?

One thing I never understood in football, and all sports in general, is when guys slap each other on the bum.

I don't even watch American football, THO. What is there to watch other than running and men taking other men down? For the few games that I watched, I've never seen what you've described.

With respect to children going to the woods with their teachers, it is voluntary. You, as a parent, can deny it. Besides, it is the whole school going there and watching them, unlike sending your kids to some random footballers because it just so happens that one has a football fever.

brother there's two different pictures , first one children walking out on the field at the beginning of a match,to promote sporting behavior or come from local schools or youth teams or supporters clubs as u seen in the article , the other one with their real children and families celebration last-day of the season traditional called laps of honour or after winning major cups .
