There will be a flood of aids infested Ethiopian whores.
Local Somali whores cannot compete.
Even if the authorities round-up and deport thousands every month there will be more than enough supply to deflate market prices.

Power,

Not really. Choosing DP World was an excellent idea. Myself I opposed them based on the political side of things but since Dubai is slowly warming up to Somaliland thus even flying its flag during the signing ceremony, I believe it is the right decision.

DP World is the 4th largest maritime/container operator in the world and has the most experience in our region having dealt with both Ethiopia and Djibouti. If DP achieves its 2020 vision, it will become the largest operator overtaking Singapore's PSA, who themselves expressed interest in Berbera.

It knows the competition and it knows the client. That is always advantage.

Jabel Ali is not in direct competition with Berbera. If that was the case DP would be buying up all the ports across the Middle East, the Indian sub-continent and east Africa not to mention southern Europe.
04. Mohammed Sharaf, DP World

DP WORLD expects to add nearly 8m teu of capacity to its rapidly expanding network of container terminals by the end of 2015. So far this year, new facilities have come on stream in Turkey, India and in the Netherlands, where the Dubai-based operator has a majority 30% share in Maasvlakte2’s Rotterdam World Gateway.

These new developments will help bolster DP World’s global capacity to approximately 85m teu, while the recent acquisition of the Fairview Terminal in Prince Rupert, Canada, and the ongoing expansion of its flagship Jebel Ali are pushing it ever closer to its 2020 target of 100m teu.
DP also operates in all the ports/countries that Somalilanders trade with so moving goods to and from will be much much easier. Now I can ship any goods from India, Dubai, Turkey, directly to Berbera under one carrier.

That removes all the hustle of buying from India, changing over to Dubai, loading small dhows and so forth.

Now all we need to do is find Dubai Ports office and leave our shipping details and goods in their hands.

Dubai Port World tried to buy up several American ports in 2006 but thankfully we the American people and congress did not let that happen.
