Smooth,
We, Somalis in proper Somalia, always fought for the rights of Somalis in Ogadenia because we felt that they were not getting their rights. But today it is different because Somalis enjoy more freedom and say in Ethiopia than any other ethnic Ethiopian. In Addis, the only people that walk around the city late in the morning like 2 or 3 AM are Somalis.[/quote]

Guhad

Sxb Somali's wa shaydaamo, everywhere they walk at these late times myself included, in the UK areas that WERE a no GO for decades have been pacified by moving Somali families into it, this is why the people at Council housing love Somali's, because they are willing to move to any bad neighbourhood and when they move in, a year later the whole area changes into a peaceful one.

There will be some shootings and brutal murders first but after a few months, the black gangbangers abandon the place and new businesses spring up, I know of many dangerous neighbourhoods like these pacified by Somali's to the point were gentrification is starting to happen now with a lot of white people moving back.

All the Somali tribes with the exception of Majerteen (whom are not really indigenous Somali's) have this chaotic warrior like attitude, that's why our country remains such a divided place.

These are the true stories of Ogaden Somalis written by international academia communities. The OGs back then owned lots of slaves from Gala and even from other Somali clans, I am not gonna say what tribes:

Drobah,
Read this please. iidoor never took Wardheer and never came near Wardheer. We let you water your livestock in Wardheer and Doollo in exchange of some iidoor cuties. Cali Dhuux was just a envious cousin. Nothing else.
When Cali Dhuux versed that poem, he was a bit envious that iidoors were pimping their daughters to Ogaadeen and in return we let the iidoors to water their camels in Doollo. At that time, Cali Dhuux’s sub clan depended on the waters of Doollo wells (Ceelasha Doollo). He just wanted the OGs not to marry the iidoor girls and not let the iidoor use Doollo water for their camels. For your information, there was never a war where iidoor came to Doollo…It was xididnimo and mutual agreement where iidoors would provide us with beautiful girls and in return would get water for their livestock. Qamaan, being the biggest winner of that Gubba Silsilad, tried to tell Ali “to basically fock off” when he said:

Gabdhaha doonnan dadabtaan dhisniyo, xidid dariiqaynta
Kuwaan dahannay diricay dhaleen, waa dareemadaa eh
Muslinka haygu didin yaan Iblays, dowyo kaa ridine!

Darka jabay dullaalkiyo dhulkuu, dadabku meeraayo
Deeqaa Ilaahay halkuu, xuliyey daadkiisa
War ii daa dugaag iyo Hartay, igaga deyraane!

Iiddoorse Dir weeyee hadduu, duullan soo bixiyo
Dunji Habar Magaadluhu hadduu, dabarka soo gooyo
Dunbuq iyo rasaastana hadduu, Debecsanow siiyo,
Horta yaa la da’ah wayla yaab, dawyadaad mariye?

Read it carefully kido. The great poet Qamaan made three important points in the above lines of that great Guuba poem:
1. The iidoor girls bore us great men, so leave them alone
2. He reminded Cali Dhuux that when the rain falls, it is a Somali pastoralist tradition to share the resources and move where the rain falls—that culture is still intact.
3. And then he asks Cali Dhuux; are iidoor and Ogaden at the same level in terms of clan lineage? No, iidoor aka Dir is similar to Daarood and we should talk as Daarood and iidoor. So, he is basically putting him in the spot. He says that if the British gives the iidoor huge weapons and attack Ogaden, would you watch?
Cali Dhuux was the biggest loser in Gubba as he admitted at the end of the Gubba poetry chains that he lost the poems big time as Ogadens wiped the iidoor and captured and occupied new lands from them. In the history of Somali poetry, no poet ever likened himself to a female that has feminine productive system. Gabayadii uu ku bilaabay sidan:
Doqonkii Ogaadeen ahaa, Doollo laga qaadye
Loo diid Dannood iyo hadduu, degi lahaa Ciide
Wuxuu kusoo dhameeyay sidan:
Gunbaan ahay ganbo cad baan xidhnahay, iyo gar naagoode
Gashaantimaha sidoodoo kalaan, guur u sugayaaye
Anigiyo hablaha loo galmoodo, waan gudboonahaye
Jeeroon ganboolka iska rido, guudka iga saaran
Ogaadeenka noo soo gabyow, waa gar xaajaduye

Ogaden subclans at that time were mad with Cali Dhuux because he was a dervish for a while and led lots of dervish forces to loot Ogadens and that is one of the main reasons Qamaan was not interested in listening what Cali Dhuux had to say. Qamaan's first poem in Guba is one of the most quoted poems and literatures in Somali history. That man was something and was way ahead of the pack. He tells Cali Dhuux that you are just nothing but an envious SOB:
Baadida ninbaa kula deydeya, daalna kaa badane
Oon doonahayn inaad heshana, daayin abidkaaye
Dadkuna moodi duul wada dhashoon, wax u dahsoonayne
Dallo malaha aakhiro haddii, loo kitaab dayaye

You must think everybody is dense like your own Doqontii Ogaden people. You take half quotes and like some shabby lawyer put your own interpretation on it and turn it into something it never was, in the hope people will be gullible and not question it.

The truth is when Cali Dhuux made that gabay, he was shocked at the total humiliation and totally domination a small section of HY was doing to a much larger, with more man power. He was unable to comprehend the situation or accept the reality that was in front of his eyes. From his disgust with your passive submissive acceptance towards your HY conquerers he compost that gabay....

One has to respect the man. He predicted your general clumsiness and inability to utilise your strength for maximum gains. Today nothing has changed. You are being dominated and humiliated by a small ethiopian tribe who have outmaneuvered and forced you to bend the knee.

Ogaden did not lose any territorry. Here is Xuseen Hudle in that same Guba poems:

Culuuntiisa gabay waanigii, caarif ku ahaaye
Indhaweydse waa taan ceshaday, camaladiisiiye
Cishriin gu’ buu iga xidhnaa, cod aan idhaahdaaye
Ciraabtii wax lagu eegi jirey, caabuq baa galey
Eeggana nabsiga ciiray baa, ceeshka noo fureye
Caynaba[1] raggaa tegahayow, Cali[2] war gaadhsiiya

Cowl Baahale iyo Reer Subeer, cuurka Reer Xamara
Cabdalle iyo Makaahiil wixii, cudud Ogaadeen ah
Ciisiyo Jibraa’iil Bahgeri, curadadii Aadan
Calaankii la guubaabin jirey, ciiskii soo rogeye
Nin calool nuglaadaa ma galo, ciidho dirireede
Haddii caadilnimo loo warami, taagte calan dheere
Waatay Cibraan iyo noqdeen, ciidan xoog badane
Afartaa cadceedoodba waa, laga cataabaaye
Ogaadeen cadceed iyo cadceed, ciirshe dunidii dheh
Ninkaan magan cidhbaha noo fadhiyin, caydhis baa diliye

Carrabkeeda muus waysagaa, ciyayey boodaanku
Culuseey raggii maali jirey, Ciidda lagu duugye
Iidoor cag geel waysagaa, caydh la yuurura e
Cidda Araba iyo Ciidagale, cuurka Habar Yoonis
Awalkaa cidhiidhiga ku jira, ceelka Madar Weyne
Cabdi Bari iyo Guuleed Suldaan, cuudkii laga qaadye
Cishihii Bah Deylaan lisayn, sidigtii coomaade
Waa kuu cirooluhu lahaa, cabasho seedowe
Waatay caruurtii habluhu, la ciddi jiideene
Waa kay canduurada gobkii, calaf ka yeesheene
Waa kii biyaha ceelka iyo, cawskii loo miyeye

Cammuud iyo calkii Jeerinleey, cidhifkii Jiileeye
Ceelka Qarandi ee loo cubtamo, coonka Xagareeya
Cafta Dowguduud iyo Mataan, calastii Gaafowba
Intaa seerahaan ugu cammirey, cuudkii lagu daaqye
Isagoon caarad-dhuubtii[3] Lixlaha[4], lagaga cayntaarin
Garmaqaatihii lagu caddibay, lagaga ciilbeelye
