In any case, it is very short term thinking. Clanism is no way to build a modern state. I can't think of one prosperous and advanced country which still has a clan structure (discounting the obvious anomaly of the Gulf Arabs who hit the oil lottery). Do you think you can break the mould?

Tribal grouping is one of the most primitive forms of social organisation  . You have to move beyond that.

I think it's a good thing that Southerners are less tribalistic because that means they are more open to ideology rather than base instincts. Hence why Shabab took root...and a Lander was leading it. And why people demonstrated and rioted for Farmaajo. They don't care as long as they agree with you. In the future, they would vote on policy and ideas as opposed to pure qabyaalad. Parties in SL will probably be linked to certain clans.
Actually reer koonfur are the most qabiil ridden people by a long shot. That is why you are killing eachother straight for 30 years. Al shabab formed out of the hawiye terrorist group ICU when Ethiopia destroyed it, al shabab first leader was hawiye then other somali clans started to join it.

Lete give you another example, why is it that hy and warsangeli can live together in peace in sanaag but HG and mj can't even share a city, similarly hawiye is killing biyomaal etc. You guys hold grudges while we fight and quickly make up.

The yusuf I have heard that idea many times before, but isn't the same clan system turning Somaliland into habar vs habar.

And same with puntland!!!!!
Have you seen habar habar qarxinaysa? its all about freedom of expression. iidoorka iyo majertenku waa faataa bakh miidhan. The number one priority in Mogadishu today is Amni 'Security' and that is not going to happen without a mobilising qabiils for good. The less mobilised qabiils and minorities are the most vulnerable for Alshabaab recruitments today.

I hate those who criticise qabiils without bring better alternative. The coward Tarzan was hostage for Amisom in his own home when he was the mayor. I have more respect a man protected by his own subclan like gaas than a fufu protected donkey criticising qabyaalad like he is thinking out of the box. We are Somalis we should accept qabiils and qabyaalad and use it to solve our problems. Its simple recruitment system that you can use it for good and bad.

No habar is killing another habar i give you that, that alone cannot be success.

What really saddens me the most,is that Somaliland and puntland is the best Somalis can do in their home turf.

While in places like Kenya, Uganda etc..... They are doing much better, and guess what??? Some of those super wealthy business people are from sl but will never invest there.

Anyways Insha Allah things will turn out for the better.
