I was Shopping at Banana Republic today--and....

Post by Basra- »

Happen to ease drop. There is this Somali lady who works there, she is in her mid 30 to late 30s. So, I was just browsing and looking around when in came a Somali Male in his late 30s. He was dressed in jeans and dress up blazer with a tucked in picnic stripe shirt. The dude was eying me and walking around me, and I smiled and said--if u want the men's side--its that way. He started conversation and asked me whether I shop there a lot. I said-- no---I am just here for a few things. I was vague and not looking at him. Then--Thank God he walked away to the mens side. Then, suddenly the female somali worker saw him and started talking to him in Caaf Somali. She was very pleasant and looked surprised and awkward to see him. (or guilty more like it) He on the other hand--looked a little annoyed with her. He was looking down at some pants while talking to her--demanding why she didn't answer his phones. When I heard that--- I crept in closer to listen to the rest of the conversation. She assured him she called him back, and later was too busy. But she was very obliging, and asked him to step out to go and eat something. (maybe, not cause a scene. Poor thing) It was just about lunch time. She was nervous and looking left and right. I know that man was there for a mission. He didn't look like a Banana Republic Shopper at all.

This whole episode kinda made me think this world is coming to an end. The Somali lady looked respectable, even though she wasn't wearing Hijaab. But now, I think--this tells me --she sleeps around with men left and right. She didn't answer his phone, because the Farah was reer baadiye and not attractive at all. He kinda reminds me of a relative of Siyaad Baare. :eat:

Anyway--why am I sharing this story again?

Or maybe it was her husband wondering why she didn't answer his calls all day making him worried and forcing him to come to her workplace to make sure she okay.

Why does everything have to be a nasty story with you ?

I don't care about what you said about Siad Barre.

You seem to think I'm one of Siad barres people.
Correction miss Basra: I belong to the people who threw the dictator of 21 years out of the country in 28 days.
