Abdirahman Tuur roundabout/Zerooga area

Post by JSLHistorian »

This is the up-and-coming area of Burco. So many tower blocks being constructed, it is my new chill out spot whenever
I go to Burco.

Give us 411 on Burao.

How is the biz climate?

What is the single biggest market?

How does Burao get water?

How will the new Erigabo road will impact the town?

How is education or human capital?

I'm liberal thinker so Burao never appealed to me.

Salaan Gobeed Saaxib I've never been to burco, infact I have never passed my home town hargeysa, and I've been to berbera only twice. So give me the break down of burco

Why is the mayor of burco HJ if it is historically a HY city?

Out of HY & HJ which reer is more numerous in burco?

Is burco a harmonious & cohesive city like hargeysa?

No offence to our HJ cousins in advance

Awrastaale It easy to set up business in Burco, the land is cheap there is no obstructions at all. The biggest single market in Burco
is the livestock trade in (Saylada), almost most houses have access to tap water in Burco since it has been blessed with abundance
of water. The Erigavo road once completed will have a significant economic impact on Burco as a lot of goods and people
will move between Sanaag and Togdheer. Lastly education is okay there is couple of good universities (Somali standards)
and the human capital is not bad (Burco has the second biggest population in Sland after Hargeisa).

Skyflyguy Well that is due to the disputed local election results of 2012. Generally though 3 out of 4 Burco mayors since 1997 - 3 were H/Y
and 1 HJ. Burco is harmonious but it is not mixed/cohesive like Hargeisa. Although you will find some CM living in the H-Y side. Funny
thing is in Snet the HA kids try to act up but when in Burco they like to live in our side (west) rather than the east side. I am pretty sure
if Aishah came to Burco as well she would go to Jarmaalka, Tuurta etc H-Y neighborhoods Lol. There is also few Sacad Muuse families
living with us called Abdirahman Sacad.

This is the demographics of Burco if you're interested who lives where.

"In general, the city is characterized by an East-West partition, with the Habar Yonis together
with the Ise Musa settling in its Western part while the Habar Jeclo along with the Gabooye
living in its Eastern part."

A rigged election was highly unlikely, the losing side wouldn't have of accepted it lol.
I disagree it isn't a harmonious city, the governorship of the togdheer state was given to ibrahim qabo due to him being Arap thus making him impartial, my guess is that in the near future the mayoral position of burco will also be given to a person from neither of those two reers

The reason Qabo was appointed is related to back to 2012 elections, it is a long story. Burco is harmonious because it is segregated
city, there is no land disputes. Each side sticks to their side to avoid any future conflicts. Hargeisa is also becoming a segregated city
nowadays everywhere in the media I am keep seeing xafaad New Hargeisa, Axmed Dhagax and xafaad Maxamuud Haybe want to make
their own mayors Lol since that kid Solteco only works for 26 June area. There is also that Xumbaweyne water project dispute issue,
Hargeisa area has a lot of issues.

This is about horumaar not qabyalaad since no clan was insulted. Gacanlibaax is 100% Muuse Cabdalle just like Bohol is
100% Sacad Yoonis. Some areas are mixed though like Sheikh/Berbera. Cisse Muuse and Muuse Cabdalle are indeed family
and intermixed, dee ciidi isla dega oo iis rabta cidna uma diidana.

meel reer kaliya degenyahay waligeed magaaalo ama meel camiran ma noqoto.

hargeysa saaxib or the rest of sl.ha u sahadin qabil divisions what good does it even do. maxaad ula jeceshahay kala qeybsanaanta burco. u do know a city divided cant grow and cant advance. its pointless to claim a tuulo based on clan tuulo joog will be tuulo joog but to be honest no isaaq sub clan can claim berbera burco hargeysa ceerigaabo as their own because all 3 habars live in all of them. we need to mix it all up to kill this divide though bring gadhweyn amd muse abokor to gabiley and bring allot of jb and western sacad muse to sanaag to further mix all isaaq towns. sheikh is a beautiful example of a community i have.some good friends from there and they tell me about reer dariqa and how they build a real community there with so.many different somaliland qabils.

Khalid Ali Is a funny guy. Have you brought the shovel and boots horta to dig oil in Oodweyne. There is nothing
wrong with intermixing but only if the residents are willing or want it.Otherwise how is this any different from Siad Bare
shoving tribalism masquerading as diversity down our throats.
