I just saw some people wishing single moms happy fathers days on twitter So, now we cant even have our "only day" in peace? SMH. Happy fathers day to my fellow Male fathers

One of my children came to me this morning and told me, "happy fathers day, daddy". I said thanks, but then had this worry: (1) The child growing up in the West will be influenced by this environment; (2) I didn't know it was a fathers day today but my kids knew.

Insha'Allah, I shall send these kids back to the motherland. Time to ingrain them with the Somali values; otherwise, they will be like the typical American kids.

On diff note: what is wrong with having American values so long as they are compatible with your values? Universal values such as freedom to worship as you wish, speech, and work ethic transcend borders and ethnicity.
