A Treat By High School Girls to BASRA, AW, and SUMU
And any other SNETTER who had the Kenyan High school experience.
Why are high school experiences so intense and very unforgettable in-spite of the rather bad food (Apart from AW who was living a rich mans life at St. Marys?)
Precious Blood Rirutta Performing Charonyi Ni wasi.

Somalier; why do people study under GCSE? I've never understood the reason
Re: A Treat By High School Girls to BASRA, AW, and SUMU
Because a KCSE certificate is useless outside the country. People that want to study/work in places like Malaysia UK Canada and America study IGCSE system because it more valued than the Kenyan one.BeyondQabil wrote:Somalier; why do people study under GCSE? I've never understood the reason

Hahah. Somalier; do you know what you're saying? Anyway, I've found the IGCSE content to be extremely shallow. I used to teach it sometime ago. I agree though that if your aim is to work or study outside Kenya, it's better for you to do the IGCSE exams.

The only reason why high school is the most commerable time of any Kenyan Kid is that, When you are in Primary school, you are treated like a kid. We come to high school at the age of 15 and that is when adolescent stage is at its pick. You feel like a man. Also, you can get girls at that age because most of the girls will be at their adolescent stage also and mostly in body school. You could write letters at that age and get it delivered to you at school. Also, You will get sometime to travel outside your village because you can be called up in a far away school and you will enjoy some sort of freedom rather than primary where you study with the same dummies that you grew up and played with since you were 2 years old.
I still have some of my high school classmates on my facebook but none from college.
Sometimes it goes far.

Beyond ... You brought back flashbacks of going to school during the Moi era. I remember the fracas during the era of multiparty democracy and the constant fights with Jamhuri High students.
I was a loyal KANU supporter because I couldn't give up on Baba Moi after all that he did for us.
