No, and the rocket that hit the intelligence building with loss of lives didn't happen, nor did the helicopter shot out of the sky happen. It was all staged.

So 200+ dead civilians and police didn't happen???

The coup failed miserably, so it must have been staged eh?

But if it was successful, a lot of people would have been celebrating.

BnW: marka hore intaadan wax qorin si fiican u hubso. It was in fact our resident cheeky monkey THO who "injected Somalia" into the topic, being his usual self of "I'mma just drop this sh*t here and grab some popcorn" :lol:

Anyway for me personally I don't see anything wrong with either of their statements. Sadly they've both pretty dreams, not reality.

Maybe we understood it differently Advo, but wasn't he asking about their leader? And how the civilians overcame the armed forces?

~~~
Yo guys, I reckon this is very much an underground operation run by the other NATO "brothers in arms" countries, who are now coming out of the woodwork condemning their handiwork and killing off/smearing the lower level villains in this failed coop.
This is what I think happened. Next month, in August, is the annual army convention where the upper echelon of the army are up for demotions/promotions, retirements, etc. The Turkish media in the last few months have been writing how this August will see major changes. It's well known that Erdogan detests the army not only because of its grip on national power structure but also because Erdogan is power hungry autocrat. He already purged the army back in 2008. I think some in the military thought that if they don't take action now it'll be too late. We know it was only a small faction that orchestrated the coup because if there was even 20% support among rank and file of the army, Turkey would be plunged in civil war right now.
The irony of all this is, there IS a coup undergoing right now in Turkey. Erdogan has just ordered the removal of 2700 judges. Not army personnel. Not intelligence officers. But judges. How did he come up with a list of 2700 judges so quickly and how did judges participate in the coup? It's not like the coup plotters asked for warrants from judges.
Erdogan is systemically dismantling all the checks and balances that you need in a democratic country. It's good the coup was defeated but if Erdogan power trip is not checked, Turkey risks becoming another Pakistan.
