I travel/ed to quite a few countries in Africa, and the visas DO add up which is frustrating - bureaucratic red tape when you're coming from another African country is appalling - it's easier to get into many cities having arrived from abroad! There should be an African Union Passport, if only for reduced barriers when travelling, investing and working between countries.

On a side note, with easier access to each other's countries - do you think it could be a possibility that isolated conflict could be reduced? That instead of spreading violence, it could POSSIBLY curtail it? I think it would make a positive change long-term.

I see no long term benifit, we have huge amount of land and relatively small population (Somalia). In the near future Subsahara Africa is gonna explode population wise and the need for land will be in high demand. It's better to cooperate on all business sectors to grow our respective economies rather than have an open door policy on people movements.
