Garissa county could have been one of the most developed in the country but these greedy idiots are using the funds to build themselves houses in Nairobi and taking care of themselves. The "major towns" of Masalani, Hulugho and Ijara are less than villages and the roads between them are seasonal.

The county is blessed with wildlife and a national park but there is no tourism industry there.

Plus the Tana river is HUGE and has endless potential for mass scale farming and energy production but it hasn't even been touched yet.

These people have no shame sxb and the sooner Reer Garissa stand up for what is there's the better it's gonna be for them.

Hi all. Corruption in Garissa county is rampant, and we need an urgent redress from all stakeholders. As a resident of Masalani, all the normal services have been curtailed due to negligence from the county government. Any Garissan with sound mind sees this, but we need action of electing the right leaders. Thanks

Garissa County government is probably the worst local government in Kenya! The governor made a huge mistake when he appointed many criminals from the diaspora to important posts. One of them who is my neighbour just finished constructing a huge mansion, only God knows how much money this bloke has stolen from us.

Apart from the leased ambulance cars and a couple of fire-fighting engine trucks, Nathif has done nothing else off note. I think the guy is too incompetent and corrupt to care about his people. Areas like Hulugho, Masalani, and Ijara have been completely neglegted by this appalling government.

2017 cannot come quick enough for many voters in Garissa. He'll be gone.
