These are the kind of views and talks of someone that has never been to Xamar it's very common, but when you go there it all goes, there is no city even close to the cosmopolitan nature then Xamar, so much so, I believe if official counts were done today HAG may not even be a majority anymore today or only make up a small majority, don't fall for cheap online propaganda, there is big Isaaq & Darood presence there, one of the top doctors everyone goes to in our district is a Warsangeli guy.
The place is teaming with all tribes, particularly Raxanweyne whom will soon out number every other Somali group with their current breeding rate, I have been to more Somali cities then most and all the vaguely cosmopolitan ones are divided along tribal lines with demarcation, Gaalkacayo, Burco (both have 2 mayors), Erigavo, Merka etc, there is no such thing in Xamar at all or no go zones.
The only city that comes remotely close is Hargaisa, but her cosmopolitan nature is only lucky due to the TPLF assault on koonfur which lead to a lot of people fleeing there from koonfur and setting up shops (they were barred from Puntland), also the oromo invasion, I have been there several times, there is a strong Xabashi like culture that makes any prideful person puke. The only great proper Somali place in Wooqoyi is Burco but it's divided between 2 Isaaq clan's with 2 mayors.
No need to even talk about Puntland, I been to both Garowe and Bosaaso, the latter you can't even live in, it's just a single tribe with Jareers and oromo's and a heat wave that will almost kill you, Garowe is the most hostile place for anyone that's not of Faroole clan, never-mind other clan's, the proof is in the pudding, no Somali of any clan flees there for safety, even the few Umar Mohamoud that fled there during the war, were mistreated so bad they went to qardho.
You personally outside of your clan cities are not only most safe in Xamar but you have the most dignity there, with no one asking you who you are, just the IDP population in Xamar from other regions is more then the entire population of all Somali cities, the same is true for Hargaisa to an extend if you can stomach the Xabashi culture and hatred for Somali's.
