I wish I was 80kg again. It will take me to drop at least 10kg to reach that weight. Male, 37yo and 6ft tall, but still that is big. Fat-ass is me!

Don't feel like you're a prisoner to plastics. It's best to do whatever you can to minimize potential risk. If I had to choose between glass and plastic.I would choose the former. Once you know, it's a matter of making small lifestyle modifications. No prob, glad to help.Twist wrote:That seems like a lost war before it's even fought, as the kind of plastic you're referring to is everywhere and hard to eliminate. I read about/came across such articles in the past, though I didn't pay that much close attention to them, but will do what I can to at least minimize my use of plastics from now on. ThanksSophisticate wrote:Well, the trouble is plastics are everywhere. Personal care products, plastic bottles and plastic containers etc. Exposure seems inevitable but as long as you ditch the plastic bottles/Tupperware and use mostly glass or stainless steel, then you should be fine.Twist wrote:
Plastics in what way, Soph? The plastic bags we use to carry groceries with? Or the ones we heat food in microwaves etc? Or something else?

I blame the beauty industry and hollywood for portraiting a wrong image of women. Women think they have to fit in that box that society created. Heck with that if you keep running after the world the world will surely pass you by.Sophisticate wrote:Veganista,
I agree with you. Women can't live without their bodies being scrutinized Ugh! As long as a person feels great, has boundless energy and is happy in their own skin, then that's all that matters. No need for measuring tape and scales.

What is this 'elusive' body ideal that women are pursuing in the west? I don't understand it.Veganista wrote:I blame the beauty industry and Hollywood for portraiting a wrong image of women.
