I don't know why people are expecting farmaajo to build a failed state in 4 years..

As long as he can get rid of Al shabaab and tackles down corruption he will earn the people's favour

He will get re elected in 2020 if he gets rid of Amisom , Al Shabaab and Corruption

AwRastaale wrote: Wed Feb 22, 2017 7:25 am It was weak and defeatist speech by Mr Cheese.

He said he can't fix anything and needs 20 odd years to even have any chance to fix the 26 year old issues.

It was very defeatist message and his aims are rather low.

He talks soft and delivered weak speech.

He himself admitted defeat what can you expect a man that says four years not enough 26+ is what it will take.

If I'm elected I'm going to inspire, fake it and lift spirits by telling the populous I will address your concerns as of this minute and I will fight to reverse the 26 year old damage in 26 months.

Failure speech already. I'm sure alot of people went...

Agree 100% his speech was weak, admitting defeat and he seemed very insecure in his role as a president, I think both sharif and HSM delivered more strong and persuasive speeches.
He was also mixing up words, lost himself many times and said so many strange things that were odd.

1. Talking about that people should pay their taxes( he is right but that part wasn't fitting in a inauguration speech, rather he should have addressed this issue some other time)

2. Telling alshabaab that today was their last day ( we all wish so but it just felt like he was challenging them and he should not do such things on the cost of civilians when he travels around in bulletproof cars and protected to the teeth himself.

3. The attack in a market was actually the first one that alshabaab did in such a public place such as a suuq. They have only targeted hotels and etc during HSM. I have a very bad feeling their attacks from now on will be of a different and even more destructive nature just to prove him wrong.

May Allah be with the people of Somalia.

He become president through corruption himself buying votes from MP's. If he truly believes to the core that corrruption is a bad thing he should have told the MPs to vote for him because of his ideology and politics. He was only elected with the help of bribes 2 weeks ago.

The only way to win election in Somalia is bribery.. also I am sure he didnt use a lot of money to bribe since he doesnt have a country who funds him.. He probably was helped by his diaspora supporters

Bribery was probably part of his plan to make somalia great. kkkkk

Voltage wrote: Wed Feb 22, 2017 12:38 pm It's common knowledge that;

1. When you campaign you can kind of talk about what you would LIKE to do.
2. When you win you can talk about what you CAN do.

Farmaajo knows that expectations are beyond high, but it's better to be underestimated than overestimated. This is the single biggest failed state in the world. He will work as hard as he could, but he needs to be as honest and genuine as possible.

I was watching with two other friends neither of whom are Marehan and we all agreed it was a really sober and honest message---exactly the way Somalis should be talked to.

P.S. I thought he was much more fluid and personable when he was talking off script. Reading a speech doesn't suit Somalis.
Well said Voltage.I expect him to be pragmatist and not put himself in a postion of a messiah.

Let the Iidoor keep hating.

That why SL didnt find Ictraaf for 26 years , lie lie lie and still people believing that will come .
:pac:

AwRastaale, Somalis celebrated Farmaajo's election win more than all the SL independence parties put together, my Parents told me they have not seen so much celebration since Siad Barre AUN, I think his speech skills could be better I am not saying your criticism is a complete miss, but lets remember the Somali people were celebrating the Farmaajo jubilee when Beesha Barakaysan regained the throne, Allahu Akbar our spirits could not be more uplifted, what we need now is pragmatic speeches and realism.

you want to see him fail so bad just because he's darood. some people are just sick in the head.

everything takes time. we can't expect change the first day of his presidency. pres. farmaajo has the most challenging job in africa, if not the world.

already before his inauguration, he made sure our troops were paid and visited the victims of the latest attack by the insurgents, something the vagabond hsm had never done.

hsm was a failure and a corrupt thug. i'm so glad that vagrant can't prey on the somali people's funds any longer.

all genuine Somalis want our president to fulfill his promises and believe in him. only ceeb people like you want to see him fail, sadly, at the expense of your own country.
