I just laugh at the fake unionist among us

first they are so pro unity and anti-qabiil to the extreme, a few months down the line you seem being anti-unity and pro qabiil, the same goes for pro-Somali to anti-anything somali.

You do realise that at the height of Somalinimo in 1970s, it took foreign powers and anti-somalinimo interest group decades two divide us ? things don't change immediately so pick something you really believe in whether it is good or bad and just stick to that shitt. because you individually or if you manage to form a following won't change anything in the next decade even if you stick at it, it will take quite some time, perhaps 15 years to be felt.

Now alot of Somalis pretty much all of the people hailing from the major tribes believe in somalinimo, it was instilled in them throughout history, so deep down they have those beliefs and it is not easy to overwrite that belief, however over the history and especially in recent time they also have strong conviction in tribal identity.

This is the problem many Somalis face, and it is very unique for each tribe, sub tribe etc and it is very much linked to interest which depends on circumstances of ones family and subclan.

Now I am fortunate in that I do not have identity issues as most of you have, I am extremely pro-Somalinimo and I am also a Marehanist in the sense that I am proud of my heritage and I want to do well by my people. However I can reconcile these two beliefs because I happen to come from a tribe that is very relaxed and not too qabilist, and also my tribe is also pro-somalinimo.

many people have issue becacuse their tribe might be from Somaliland and find it hard to reconcile somalinimo with their qabiil agenda, its sad but its a fact. some people even within rest of Somalia do not see their tribe as a stake holder in Somalia and also find it hard to reconcile, its sad again but true, this is what rips apart our country and gives birth to hatred for somalinimo.

In every organized system, there is a hierarchy, it is a law of nature, and it does give tremendous advantage to one group over the other, one family over the other, even in the most democratic nations they struggle with this, ones we accept this we can finally develop to a stage where this individual effort can grant an individual Somali the success and freedom that is comparable to those Somalis at the higher advantageous positions in society, the difference will always be there but it will become more and more negligible the more we develop.

That is why I believed in the Kacaan mentality, free health care, free education, many opportunities otherwise exclusive to rich and influential families and those who are connected to those families. Now of course even under the Kacaan those at the top would be more privileged but as they work towards the achievable equality they narrowed the gab tremendously in such a short time.

If we start to think like this and accept laws of nature, accept the sacrifice that must be made, and trust in our individual efforts we will escape this mentality of parasites, look at Puntland and SOmaliland seperatist, look at the other even more useless clan states, they are just as bad as the kacaan but lack the good the kacaan did, at least the Kacaan was working towards Somalinimo and fairness with its short comings, but these states are actively working against those ideals, and they also have people at the bottom and those clans will eventually revolt and form their own mini-states.

In the Kacaan era the riches SOmalis were among a diverse group of people, because the ruling elite at that time were working towards somalinimo which to them superseded marehanimo, however if you look at Somaliland, they face the same issue and they are not solving it, infact I predict when they break up it is going to be 10 times worse that somalia.
