In previous gatherings of this nature, the Khaatumo government, whether recognised or not, invited or not, by the SFG and the organisers, has usually sent some sort of delegation to press their cause.
This time they have gone conspicuously quite. Have they boycotted the meeting along with Somaliland administration. Or is this meeting irrelevant to Khaatumo issues.
Is it enough that only Safiya Cali Caateeye, the Khaatumo deputy Foreign Affairs Minister attends one of the most important summits on Somalia.
What do the brothers think?

Inadeer Farmaajo's Gov't is new, he might support us in Aid, Medical, Education, Development etc but I do not expect recognition. Most likely Khaatumo hasn't got an invitation because the Somali Gov't doesn't want to start problems with SL who they will have talks with soon, nor PL who has remained a thorn in the Gov't side, he is trying to please everyone.
Safiya Ateeye went there to speak up for our rights, to make sure whatever the world offers the Somali people Sool, Sanaag & Cayn will get their share, she has spoken to the president, UN envoy & other members of the IC.

Bal hooyadii wasan sheegatada ah e beesha Dhulbahante magaca iyo karaamada ka diliyaa eega. Naag la yidhaahdo "Safiya Ateeye" "is fighting for Dhulbahante rights". This is what you want us to f-king accept, like Dhulbahante needs to be defended by a woman.

Of you are right, Farmaajo is fairly new and doesn't want to rock the boat too much. As long as he supports the Dhulbahante morally and materially, recognition of Khatumo by the SFG can wait.
However you missed my point. I would have thought that the Khaatumo government would have sent a strong delegation on the sidelines, even if not officially included in the list of invited administrations. Perhaps Cagalule and a few other ministers. This is what I was trying to figure out, whether Khaatumo is fatigued by years of trying to join the main table and have developed apathy, or whether their talks with Somaliland has made this forum less important for them.
I'm not trying to belittle Safiya Caateeye ' s role in the conference, I think she is doing a sterling job, but I sort of expected that the Khaatumo big guns, including Cali Khaliif, would have attended the meeting.
