Any Somalis living in Doha?

Post by Abs9909 »

Hiya

I am somali girl from the UK and I very recently moved to Doha few weeks back. I'm hearing there are lots of somali expats from UK and elsewhere in Qatar but I am not coming across any. Few somalis i met when i go to dahabshill seem to be 'Qatarified somalis' who have been here generations and genuinely believe and act like they are Qataris. And fresh off-the-boat young lads. I have made friends so far but I would also like to create a mini somali community here.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks,
Abs

I would suggest you create a meetup event on meetup.com or on Facebook. Maybe a Facebook group.
If I can find fellow fans of obscure science fiction and costly enthusiasts in my city, I'm sure you can fund Somalis.

you want to get married to a somali in Doha? it is not very easy, you have to do a complete medical before marriage license can be issued. Also, wedding ceremony cost a lot of money. You are better off getting married to a UK somali in the UK.
