Seeing 90% of the cast are black, it would be interesting how it goes and whether if the movie gonna be successful in a predominately white American country.

I also hope the film doesn't focus too much on pushing black rights or it would the ruin it for audience. Luke Cage is the proof.

Umm....you guys still underestimating the black/african public's buying power in the year 2017? This movie has effectively unified the hoteps and the black feminists not to mention white fangirls and boys, this shit is going to break the bank, trust. Did you guys forget about Get Out? 28 million to make and over 1175 million box office gross last i checked. And that shit basically called out whites for the organ harvesting psychos they are.

Look at the success of wonder woman, a seemingly feminist movie is currently #1. People are not as close minded as you think when it comes to superhero movies and marvel cant fail. And so far this is isnt marketed as a black movie but a marvel superhero movie with a black african superhero.

I havent watch one single movie of his. But I hear he's a one of the best young directors around. This trailer alone tells me all i need to know about ryan coogler and his style....im hype.
