Somalis in their pre-Islamic religious devotion were monotheists who worshipped the God of the Universe also known by the Cushitic name Waaq or the Sky God, a name mentioned in the Qur'an. They never worshipped the Sun. If there ever was any recorded historical accounts of Somalis worshipping the Sun, they were most probably a marginalised untouchable lower caste segment of the society that were completely ostracised. So, as a whole, Somalis weren't monotheisized with Islam. They were always monotheists.
Who the hell do you think Waaq is LOL.... loud and wrong for no reason. Somalis pre islam were pagan polytheist while some were monotheist who worshiped a sun god. Very little is known of our pre-islamic past so stop being so sanctimonious you sound stupid.

Waaq is in the quran because allah is an ancient Babylonian sun/moon god that the then uncivilized arabs adopted. Everything in you're book of arab witchcraft can be found in christian gospels and the jewish torah. Your god is not original nor is your plagiarized religion unique you arab slave, keep trying me tho loser.

Waaq is not in the Qur'an, what verse is Waaq mentioned in? Also Waaq is not a sky-god, it could have been any God since there are no records. In Mesopotamia Alla was not the Sun God, Alla was a War God in the likes of Belus, Nergal or Shara. The Moon God was Sin or Nanna and the Sun God was Utu.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sin_(mythology)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utu

In order to find the true origin the Alla, the War God you have to dig deep because Academics are afraid to state his true origin, terrorists bomb countries when an image or a clip art of Muhammed is posted, imagine what they can do if Academics starting saying Alla is a War God and this proves the religion is in his image, there would be bombings all over their campuses.
Dr Stephanie Dalley who translated the ATRAHASIS Table in her book Myths from mesopotamia details Alla and his brothers and how Alla led a revolt with his brothers against their own father and how Alla was sacrificed by his own father and how the Goddess Nintu mixed his flesh and blood with clay and out of it she created mankind.

You can read a few of the pages here
https://books.google.com/books?id=0YHfi ... la&f=false

The origin of Paradise in Judaism copied by Christians and Muslims also came from the Gardens of Babylon
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/secrets/the-los ... ylon/1172/

I think you have it wrong. Alla may have been a war god but all these gods have root in Ancient Egptian nature gods which were later bastardized by various peoples the egyptians conquered. Nanna is Isis the ancient egyptian moon goddess. Sin later became alla as they are both represented by the moon.

The origin of paradise actually came from Ancient Egypt too. You seem to be pushing this sumer/babylonian origin story and im afraid you are wrong. Dig a little deepet you're on the right track tho.

Many white scholars are pushing this sumerian origin story and even recently they claimed the first woman scientist was En' hedu' anna from ancient sumer. Lies. It was Ptah Merit who's name is still on the walls of egypt. Ancient Egypt pre dates all. Stop it with this sumer/babylonia bs lol.

Anything else kulaha lol. You've only confirmed everyone's suspicions that you are nothing more than flaming retard with this bs.
I don't know what this means and I've been fasting, my mind doesn't have the ability to decipher debased jargon. Bring something more palatable so we can continue this discussion.

Waaq is a sun god walaal, let me prove it. No significant archaeological study has been done on the somali peninsula so everything from our ancient past is shrouded in mystery. Waaq was a sky god but the he was nothing more than an allegory for the Sun, the primary provider of energy on Earth whom our ancient pastoral ancestors depended on it's cycles. It is believed that Waaq descended down from his abode to Earth to teach his chosen people everything. this is a metaphor for the sun that descends every day to bless us with its light and energy. Ancient Somali pastoralists like their ancestors the Ancient Egyptians believed the Sun rays provided cosmic and celestial knowledge. They didnt necessarily worship it at first but as time went on this veneration turned to worship of a Sky god. This is why they(Ancient Egyptians) are referred to as the people of the Sun by Egyptologists.

You can regurgitate that little bit of info that is known about Waaq all you want but the truth is Waaq is nothing more than a remnant of Ancient Egyptian nature worship with Waaq replacing Osiris who represents the sun and Isis the moon. This was later plagiarized by abrahamic religions and even babylonian and Vedic religions before them.
Nothing you've addressed in this segment amounts to proof/evidence that would ever be accepted on an elementary level, let alone on an academic platform. You've given your OWN definition of what Waaq means (without quoting any book, references etc), on top of that which is even worse you've completely contradicted yourself. How? You just said there has never been any significant archaeological study on the Somali peninsula for us to look more deeply into it's origins. Yet straight after you attempt to explain in detail what Waaq is/was LOL. The question then arises: Why did you give an explanation of Waaq when you just LITERALLY claimed there is no sufficient knowledge? What is even worse is, you accuse me of regurgitating the little bit of info that exists on Waaq. My defense is that's the only authentic piece of information we actually have based on the cultural traditions of those who inhabit the Horn of Africa. Which you also partially agree with in stark contrast to your attempt to define what Waaq was (without referring to books/journals/anything). You can't make this stuff up. LOL Osiris doesn't EQUAL Waaq. Many things descend, rain also descends. Can we take Waaq as a metaphor for the Rain or anything else that descends, such as the snow, hail etc? Do you realise how silly that sounds? We can have a party with metaphors if we want LOL.

In order for us to benefit, you will need to quote actual evidence. Madam, I've read enough on the subject. When I say evidence, I don't mean the type of information they teach you in Hotepville. Bring actual authentic accepted references. Thank you.

The word Waaq can be interpreted by the arabs however way they want... their entire language and religion is stolen so who cares.
Is that your way of running away from a valid point just because you got confused? I dare you to address it. Linguistics is separate from Religion, in case you didn't realise. Don't mix them up again. So, are we not dealing with a name? LOL. Academicians will decipher meanings through their linguistical components. Even if the name was stolen, who was it stolen from? Another Semitic language/peoples? Either way, it means the same exact thing, Allah/Alaha/Eloh/Elohim means the same thing. Hypothetically speaking, Babylonia wouldn't be able to help you either, because they were Semites too madam. Meaning that the root word would not differ, even in their language, as I've ALREADY explained prior to this.
According to the encyclopedia of religion Allah is an ancient babylonian sun/moon god corresponding with the god bel There is plenty of literary and archaeological evidence that Allah existed pre islam so that point is not up for debate.

"The oldest name for a god used in the Semitic world consists of but two letters, the consonant 'L' preceded by a smooth breathing, which was pronounced 'IL' in ancient Babylonia, 'El' (Eloh,Elohim) in ancient Israel. The relation of this name, which in Babylonia and Assyria (Alaha,Eloah) in Aramaic Syriac became a generic term simply meaning ‘god’, to the Arabian Ilah familiar to us in the form Allah, which is compounded of al, the definite article, and Ilah by eliding the vowel ‘i’, is not clear."

Thank You. For once you've actually quoted a reference. Well done  The only problem is, why are you quoting Encyclopedia's compiled by White Supremacists? James Hastings?! Are you kidding me? Ridiculous. He was a friggin Biblical scholar and Church Minister. Is that your evidence? FAIL. Just goes to show that Hoteps cannot live without their white masters. That encyclopedia is good as debunked, in case you didn't realise. Bring something else, madam. Your really losing any credibility you had left. It's actually so bad, that book is quoted by Evangelical Christians in their tirades against false religions. Have you become a Trinitarian, yourself? LOL Haha.
Read this book review excerpt on that Encyclopedia, you wanted to quote as 'evidence':

It covers not only religious matters but thousands of ancillary topics as well, including folklore, myth, ritual, anthropology, psychology, etc.

Damning indictment. Your only quote is from a book that includes folklore and myth? This is an insult to academia.

Back to the topic. If you weren't aware. My argument was never that Allah doesn't pre-date Islam. Ofcourse the name does. My argument was that the term itself always referred to the Ultimate Deity i.e God Almighty. You've actually assisted me by quoting a SOAS professor Alfred Guillaume who refuted the notion that Allah was the sun/moon god.

Let's do this properly Madam, you keep quoting that Allah is a moon/sun god, a mainly Evangelical (Western) argument that has been all but debunked, read Joseph Lumbard's Scholarly Pursuits.

Please explain this verse in the Qur'an. And don't attempt to run away from the question like you did before:

And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah , who created them, if it should be Him that you worship. Chapter 41:37

Why would Allah FORBID the worshipping of His own essence? If he is the Moon/Sun God, why would he prohibit believers from prostrating to His own Essence? I'll wait for a constructive refutation of this hard evidence.

Also, consider this verse in the Qur'an:

Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? Chapter 22:18

Why would the Qur'an mention that the Sun and the Moon both prostrate themselves to Allah, if Allah is their own Essence?
Go on, walaal, elaborate

You cant use the word of allah(Quran) as as evidence of his existence or anything else he says btw. The quran does not hold up as proof. lol
I never used the Qur'an to provide evidence of Allah's Existence, why would I? I used the Qur'an as a linguistical exhibit to show that it is contradicts the appelation 'Allah' as a moon/sun god. That's perfectly acceptable. Just like if I was to argue that Hindus dont worship brahma, and a Hindu opens his Holy Book to suggest they they do, that would be a perfectly acceptable form of exhibiting an evidence. LOL.
Im not trynna convince your somali slave mind of anything, it's a lost cause. Im just here to spit truth at you and teach you about your fraudulent deen and it's true origins. I said that this arab god is loosely based on an old babylonian god who's religion pre dates islam. This is a historical fact and can be easily googled. Your books even address the pagans living in arabia at the time but what it doesnt say is one of the pagan gods these people worshiped was Allah. Even the christian arabs who also pre date muslims still used the name Allah when talking about god. By the time the muslim arab version was introduced in that region it was common knowledge that people once worshiped a pagan Allah. Of course the jealous arab version would only want to harvest your energy for himself that's why he forbids you to worship anyone/anything else. Now you know why that ayat was revealed ;)
Is this your response to the Qur'anic verses I quoted? Feeble, wallahi. I'm actually curious now. Would you be able to produce for me any scholarly work that has PROVEN that Allah is the Babylonian God, without actually going to James Hastings, Encyclopedia, Answering Islam or those elementary Evangelical Hugo Winckler/Pat Robertson's 700 club type regurgitations? I'll be quite frank and honest, I'm only asking you to produce them because I have the proof of it all being debunked by non Muslim scholars. I'll be waiting.

I, actually agree with you, that the pagan Arabs used to worship Allah. Where you actually go off track is the Qur'an does mention this. The only difference is, it actually contextualizes your completely confused statements. I'll elaborate and quote you the verses itself. The pagan Arabs worshiped many gods as intermediaries between them and the Ultimate God, who was Allah. Pretty much what many Christians do today, the worshiping of saints/righteous people to validate their case in front of God. The Qur'an actually mantions this concept, clearly:

And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position." Chapter 39:3.

So, there you have it. They did worship Allah. There is no dispute in that. However, your account that the Allah they worshipped was a pagan god needs evidence and proof. We've been going over this for a while now. I'll show you that even for argument's sake, if I was to concede (which will not happen), how you would still lose.

In this segment, all you've done is run away from these valid points and resort to insults. Let's stay focused. All of the jokes/insults lets put it to the side. Now we are dealing with serious business. I really don't know what you mean by jealous Arab version, wallahi I dont lol. Would you want me to quote from non Arabic Semitic sources? Give me the shout lol.

This is ALSO, an extremely IMPORTANT point, pay attention:
Let's pretend for a second that I'm completely WRONG and that the name Allah originates with the Babylonian moon/sun god whatever it is. Is it not plausible to suggest that the customary understanding of the literal word can change with time? I'll give you an example. The word 'Egregious' long time ago used to mean something really good. But today, it means something really bad. Just do some research on words that have drastically changed over time. Google it. This also applies to Semitic languages. In Arabic, the word 'Nikah' means Marriage, it used to mean sex. Similarly the Arabic word 'Zakah' means Charity, but long long ago, it meant purification.
So, my argument is, hypothetically speaking: If there was a deity or a moon/sun god that was named Allah, does this take away from the customary understanding that it holds today, which is God Almighty? Ofcourse not LOL.
Also, is it not plausible to suggest that even, hypothetically speaking, there was this mysterious Babylonian Allah, how does that automatically refer to the same Allah/Alaha/Eloh/Elohim in the Semitic understanding of God Almighty, you would need hard evidence to collerate between the two. Which is impossible, btw.
Case closed. You pretty much lose either way.
I dont have to make anything up, perhaps read a history book or two? Hitler also had something akin to a white masterplan im sure they taught you this in middle school. I cant believe you would embarrass yourself like this all in the name of gargling white balls. It is Historically documented that white Americans not only promoted eugenics among blacks but intentionally killed blacks simply for being black through various government approved clinical experiments such as the tuskegee syphillis experiment. You are indeed arguing from a place of misplaced hate because you as a somali man in the west feel utterly useless. No amount of White booty licking and ball gargling will make you white or even respected by them. Same goes for the dirty arab.
I've read plenty. Probably more than you. Let's stay humble. I think what you actually mean is Negative Eugenics. Do you even know how population control could be decimated through Negative Eugenics? Let's go through it:

Sterilisation, chemical nerve agency etc. This doesn't explain the hundreds of thousnads if not millions of rampant kidney failure, mental sickness, diabetes, stroke, lung cancer that African Americans suffer from (without them being put in a concentration camp or an experimental lab) LOL etc. There is no correlation whatsoever. So everything you've just said amounts to jibberish, excuse my language.

I dont care where you live, anywhere you live that isnt your land you will always be an unwanted somali refugee. Malcolm and Martin were both establishment if you read their works and followed their life you would know this. Besides Malcolm was brainwashed when he went to those filthy arabs in mecca who through arab sorcery and lies convinced him to accept sunni islam and reject the fight for his people at the UN. No the heros of the civil rights were not muslims but rather, an amalgamation black people who were mostly christians. A good book easy to read by children on the civil rights movement is the eyes on the prize i read when i was 10. I suggest you read it.
Well, I was born in the West. So if that makes me an unwanted refugee then who cares, I certainly don't! Let's not divert from the topic. Ad hominems is classic. Well, I'm not going to argue whether Malcolm was establishment or not. My argument was the most well known civil rights campaigners among disenfranchised blacks were Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali. Malcolm X spent many months in Arab and Muslim countries. And he loved the teachings of Islam, thats what drew him in. So, I find it a bit disrespectful to a towering intellectual man like Malcolm to be so easily 'duped' or 'brainwashed' to follow something he didn't actually believe was authentic. That's an argument for another day. Lets respect our black intellectuals, madam. What happened lol

Stop repeating white lies. I live in hageisa and work closely with hargeisa hospital...skin cancer is non existent here and this sun is hotter than any sun experienced by causasians. Besides those numbers are talking about half white blacks who have diluted neanderthal dna no real black person is dying of skin cancer but keep plagiarizing lies from whites. Melanin is powerful and God given, put some respeck on its name.

Wow, I didn't know that the argument was about Hargeisa? This is getting silly. Were we not talking about blacks/Africans as a whole? Should I take the population of Finland and make an analogy for every white country? You must be joking. Right?

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But if you ever actually read statistics, there is an increasing level of Melanoma (Skin cancer) in black South Africans (not mixed). Read here:

Melanoma in black South Africans
http://www.scielo.org.za/pdf/sajsurg/v48n3/01.pdf

If you want to purchase or access the this article, its a good read:
Skin cancer: an African perspective.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26207660

Here is an excerpt from the journal:
"The objective of this review article is to assess skin cancer and sun protection trends in darker-skinned Africans. The published information suggests that in order to reduce the skin cancer mortality rate amongst people of colour, a broader effort towards public awareness/education is necessary."
© 2015 The Author BJD © 2015 British Association of Dermatologists.

Now, despite the fact that whites are much more likely to develop Melanoma, that doesn't mean blacks are not affected. Different ethnic groups are susceptible to different diseases. Get your mind out of Hotepville, madam.
This thread wasnt about privilege but melanin. Keep up. Skin cancer is actually the fastest growing cancer both in America and in Canada. Im sure it is the same in Europe and anywhere the neanderthal hybrid is. I mean the sun is getting hotter according to science what do you think will happen to them? Besides somali arab slave, this privilege doesn't extend to you. You are a lowly black in their eyes lol
I've addressed this in the previous segment.

Re: From Pale to Brown

Post by Asharite »

LOL, you think the Greeks had 'madrassas' for Arab exchange students?

The Arabs raided Egyptian and Greek libraries and stole all their documents to have them translated, this "Transmission of the Greek Classics" you got from Wikipedia tells you so too.

Here's where you got your Transmission of the Greek Classics
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transmiss ... commentary
No, they purchased Greek texts, translated them into Arabic and then sent the knowledge back to Europe. Any student of history would actually know that, buffoon. Look up the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, that will tell you the level of cultural renaissance that was acquired through these ancient Greek texts. Either way, it doesn't change the subject at hand.

So, because I know the title of the subject matter, that means I stole it from Wikipedia?

No wonder you are the likes who believe that a bunch of illiterate camel jockeys who used to bury their own daughters alive got Allah and overnight became scientists, philosophers and astronomers. The same likes who believe Noah assembled ALL the animals of planet Earth and put them in a boat to save them from a "world" flood localised only in the levant.
I really dont know how this is relevant to our argument. I, falsified your references because you were quoting a white supremacist woman alongside the editable Wiki pages. You broke all the rules in Hotepville
Many Muslims did become philosophers, scientists, and astronomers and it wasn't because they stole it. Me, learning Mathematics in a public school doesnt entail stealing the knowledge. I learnt it. These hoteps are ridiculous  Many of the texts that were in the House of Wisdom in Baghdad during the Abassid era were Arabic.
Wikipedia ain't perfect but it's a good place to start and you can also follow the references if you ain't satisfied.

Dr Stephanie book isn't listed in Wikipedia and that's why I gave you the reference but you're not satisfied with either, so don't complain to me.

This is another link you might want to read because Arabs like to pretend they got their knowledge from Allah
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_con ... amic_world
Your damn right it aint perfect fool. I can make my own moon landing on Wikipedia. Handicapped fool.

I downloaded Dr Dr Stephanie's book. It is no more than a documentation of MYTHS. Thats what the title of the book alludes to:
Myths from Mesopotamia: Creation, the Flood, Gilgamesh, and Others

Well, nobody ever denied that the Muslims benefited from Greek knowledge. Your trying to run away from the subject at hand. There was also much knowledge that was gained by Muslims that had no contribution from the Greeks or others. Like Optics, for example. Muslim Scholars developed Algebra, Algorythms and other sciences. Knowledge was always being circulated among different peoples. Why do the Greeks matter so much to you? Oh yeah, wait, they were black right?

It obvious to anyone who lives in the west and has ever read a history book that whites are savage barbarians with a long history destroying any civilization that they come in contact with. They behave like this because it is ingrained in their inferior DNA. This is why i moved back to the motherland, cultivating my father's land and creating my own bliss in my own land away from these neanderthals. Those energy vampires can feast on sell outs like ASSharite.
Did you know the Whites were actually literally feasting on the Blacks in the South, yeah many plantations owners were cannibals and would rape their slaves and eat the babies for their soft flesh but also young children and even sometimes men and women. The 40% DNA that Somalis have was from the 'Neolithic', that means that any admixture happened well before human civilization.

Refer back to:
MtDNA variation in North, East, and Central African populations gives clues to a possible back-migration from the Middle East, Program of the Seventy-Fourth Annual Meeting of the American Association of Physical Anthropologists (2005) Holden (2005).

So, no. There is no Akkadians amongst Somalis. You lack basic knowledge on autosomal DNA. As is clearly evident from making that stupid statement that 'our' ancestors could have been Akkadians

What is your point? Many human beings were cannibalistic. Amongst the biggest perpertrators of cannibalism were BLACK AFRICANS.

Have you read, CANNIBALISM IN THE AFRICAN CONGO? Read it

Here is an article, from The Independent were Cannibal Restaurant was flourishing in Nigeria, in the year 2014!

If you are ranting about refering to other people's work then why are you doing it?

Did you already fall from the camel and land on your head?

Wow much sooner than I thought

I apprehended you for quoting a White supremacist academic Dr Stephanie in her degradation of other cultures. I, however, quoted a scientific journal that is not disputed by any academician that has bearing and significance on modern genetics. Big difference Hotep

And what's with this?

I guess they also purchased the Egyptian texts when they raided and killed its inhabitants too right?

Did they get a receipt with that?
:pac:

Lol and you're mad when I call on your delusion about Noah? Why are you mad? Is it because you don't believe in the story of him Assembling ALL the animals of planet Earth?

So on one hand you believe in science on the other hand you believe in Noah nonsense

I think you are confused

And what is that supposed to prove? That your assertion that we might have been Akkadians, might have a hint of truth to it? Don't bet on it, Hotep

Most of the disputes in DNA are in relation to the origins of Haplogroups and ancestry. This has nothing to do with Autosomal DNA, which we were discussing you buffoon. There is no dispute that any admixture amongst Somalis was certainly in the Neolithic. In other words thousands of years before any of the ancient civilisations even existed.

Stop talking about DNA, it's not your field. Stick to Myths of Mesopotamia

But tell me, how can you reconcile believing in Science and believing in that Noah nonsense, and please don't run from answering it I just want to know your opinion because you seem to believe in science.

There's nothing more out of place than a Hotep trying his hardest to look like he actually knows what he is talking about

There was no purge of Egyptian libraries. The Pharaonic sciences died out centuries before Christ even, let alone when the Muslims came on the scene. Besides the vast majority of manuscripts were bought not in Egypt, but from the markets of Byzantium, Constantinople etc. That's another historical fallacy on your part. This really isn't your thing.

What about Noah? When was the conversation about him? Are you trying to deflect? We can talk about Noah all you like. Religious scholars have disputed whether or not the Flood was localised or not. The vast majority leaning towards the opinion that it was localised. Hence, taking those animals to save them from their habitats is quite sensible. Instead of having a situation where animals become endangered and almost extinct as is the case today in many parts of the World. In this context it doesn't contradict Science in anyway.

Once again, your the one who is confused Hotep

Melanin is a curse. You are more likely to be incarcerated, more likely to be shot and killed by both gang related violence and police apprehension. There is never a good job prospect.

To hell with Melanin.

Amen to that! :stylin:

You shouldn't be talking about DNA, at ALL. Your the guy who said we are 'Akkadians' based on admixture from the Neolithic.

I just answered this. Science doesn't contradict Religion. The flood was localised. That's the most authentic opinion on the Flood by many scholars. Meaning z those animals in pairs would re-inhabit the affected areas of the Flood, where otherwise they would have become extinct. Nothing un-scientific about that, Hotep
