When is the project going to start?

The UAE is sending engineers to assess Berbera airport and the Berbera corridor soon and it will be finished by 2020 according to what I heard

Millions were spent on hargeisa airport to the negligence of other regions and yet hargeisa looks like a big ramshackle capital. More like a south American shantytown with zero organization, urban planning and multi color ugly brick houses with iron doors and large walls encircling rocky sandy barren yards.

A 30 million will make Burao or Berbera or Borama look decent but a 30 million in hargeisa will make the ugly more ugly.

Would be better spent on Berbera, and the phases of the project should be inspected and audited. Wtf did they do with the last 10 mill other than landscaping

The $10mln was for the expansion and renovation of the runaway.

Another $5mln was donated by Kuwait for parking ways and fencing of the airport.

Now Turkey wants to build a terminal and replace that old one.

Different things.

Berbera is even going to get bigger budget and bigger airport thanks to UAE but we need to careful with the Turks.

I rather get the $30mln from Kuwait. These are our true brothers.

So is this 30 mill strictly for the new terminal in hargeysa? Sheekada weli maanba fehmin. Mise runwayga baa loo talo galay? We need a proper terminal for the capital

For a proposed terminal with restaurants and all.

Not sure if SL will take up on the Turkish proposal tho coz we don't really need them nor does it seem genuine on their behave.


I think they just want to spoil things and counter the Arabs.

They are against the Kurds and we should not trust them.


I am sure we can do it ourselves with the help of UAE and Kuwait.
