Developing countries send Trillions of dollars more to the West than the other way around

Post by DaacasBiyo »

In 2012, the last year of recorded data, developing countries received a total of $1.3tn, including all aid, investment, and income from abroad. But that same year some $3.3tn flowed out of them. In other words, developing countries sent $2tn more to the rest of the world than they received. If we look at all years since 1980, these net outflows add up to an eye-popping total of $16.3tn – that’s how much money has been drained out of the global south over the past few decades. To get a sense for the scale of this, $16.3tn is roughly the GDP of the United States

Yes......and a lot more too. :)
PS they're lying when they say trillions were given to the south.
The IMF has the whole of Africa on it's knees for 52 Billion per anum. :)

I'm not following you.

If they're lying about the South not getting $1.3T, are you saying they're also lying about the South giving 3.3T to the North?

1.3t is probably mostly pledged but never fully reached.

I would believe the 3.3t figure because that's exactly how the world economy is structured.
It's specifically designed to vacuum resources from the thirdworld into the first.
Leaving the natives trinkets.
Colonialism never really ended, the West simply took a hiatus during the cold war, due to competition with the soviets.

The cold war was the golden age of the thirdworld the West was restrained from its evil instincts and we have never seen the living standards as high as the 60's.

Now I get it, no it's not about third world countries guys, it's about Developing countries, so that includes China, India, Brazil, etc...so the 1.3T is correct.

The third world refers to countries that were outside the west (1st world), the Eastern bloc/USSR (2nd world).
The newly independent colonies of the south, together with Latin America, were described as the third world.
Nowadays's any non industrialised country is referred to as developing/less developed etc. :)

no china is having a net inflow of currency , and even brazil and India will not make a dent in the 3.3T
like OD said, 3rd world refers to underdeveloped and mostly non industrialized countries these days.

IT used to refer to everyone outside the west and comecon during the cold war.

most of the world has balance of payments deficits, and a large chunk of that are interest payments to banks in the west.
Countries pay far more in interest payments than they recieve in aid.

imagine the west's economies as a giant vacume, sucking wealth of the world.
what ever aid, even the "investments" are just mere trinkets like the glass beads they used to buy Manhattan island from the natives.

The biggest vacuum of all is the US Dollar as world reserve currency.....backed by full spectrum dominance. :)
PS that is why I support the idea that Somalia ( in all it's forms), signs on the dotted line.

to be honest the US dollar is holding up the structure of world trade , if it suddenly collapses it would take down everyone with it..
You need to build new walls while the old ones exist , before you take out the old walls,
otherwise the house falls on top of you..

as for somalia in all its forms?
do you think they ever had or have a choice?
if you dont sign on the dotted line, you will die and your replacement will sign.

That is my point exactly.......Somalia has fallen so low it's not able to pledge fealty to the US. :)
The southerner's having gained "control" of the capital with international recognition, don't have a f*@king clue.

When the Dollar eventually collapses it will more than likely be due to full out world war.
Africa and African's will be well placed to succeed in a post hegemonic world. :)

Assuming there is no end of the world nuclear war,
The developing world will actually do quite well even with the massive corruption and incompetence of governments.
Living standards will go up when the parasitical fangs of Western financial institutions are lofted and the feeding stops.

The question is will they be ready to deal with new fangs sinking into their flesh?

im pessimistic in not expecting civilization to survive the fall of western hegemony.
If they cannot be on top they will prefer to die and kill everyone else.
this is because you cannot feed vampires lettuce, its in their very nature and it is the basis of their civilization.

on the off chance the tiny percentage likelyhood that we survive nuclear winter and end up with a multi polar world and surviving world economy, it will be a new golden age for the third world.

The next potential hegemon China is an omnivore, and does not need blood to survive, it may indulge in it as a luxury but it can eat vegetables ...

the western vampire cannot.
