The so called " Somalia federal government " has no power, leverage or any political clout on any of its neighbours or AU and the middle east .

They can declare SL doesn't exist , or SL is located on the moon. Their pronouncement is not even worth the paper its written upon. Just empty words .

Banning DP is basically banning the UAE and that is a good news for SL.

1- the DP assets in Puntland is now canceled, that if Puntland accept it. If Puntland refused then poor Farmaajo and his neo faqash government will be embarrassed . Either way SL is wining as the sole DP port in the horn of Africa.

2- since Djibouti Dooraale deal failed and Bosasso deal now canceled by the " Somalia " parliament, DP and UAE will safeguard the Berbera deal and pour more financial and diplomatic resource in it.

3- The UAE will punish the paper government of somalia by barring all Somalia trade from all UAE ports . 90% of the goods in Somalia passes through UAE ports. It will be a disaster upon the neo faqash.

4- Muuse Biixi has been invited by the UAE and SL will sit with the UAE government and coordinate a strong financial response and reply to the faqash .

Its a blessing for SL all in all, UAE will not back down and nobody will make it back down, it has the approval of Saudi Arabia andvhe united states.

Now as result of this debacle the neo faqash are in deep trouble, they will have no choice but to move to the Qatari orbit and that will further tight the noose on their scrawny faqash necks.

The UAE and DP are one and the same , DP is a state owned enterprise, for the faqash to ban DP and not UAE is contradiction. The UAE will respond in kind and ban all cargo heading to Mogadishu and maybe even force all such cargo to Berbera first.

DP is running some of Turkey ports also and I doubt the Turks will step in to save their little faqash regime. Turkey might be a good boyfriend for the dark faqash whore but their relationship is a long distance one .

It's funny how you try and turn what's obviously a Darod V's Isaaq conflict, into a Isaaq V's Somali conflict.

I don't know how they will enforce the ban against the port deal but couldn't the FGS open a court case against DP World for violating their border without getting a permit from their government.

If they become successful, then I doubt DP World would invest in Berbera port which they don't own the contract legally.

The deal will probably go ahead.......but the D P world will not be able to ride roughshod over Somali sovereignty.
