I think you misunderstood. Last week some people including Obbo Somali Waachis were saying Abdi was going to protest Abiy and that he ordered anyone that celebrates his appointment would be arrested.

yes u are correct. an ogadeni brother on facebook told me that. he said abdi was furious and nervous at the appointment of PM Abiy.
he said liyyu forces were patrolling, to make sure that no-one was celebrating. i found it easy to believe simply because abdi is tplf's creation, and tplf is fearful and hateful of anything oromo. if u mention oromo and somali unity, they may heart a massive panic attack and die on the spot, especially the old senile men like abay tsehaye and sebhat nega. im actually glad he was wrong. we can handle abdi later, he's just the foot soldier, we need to handle the top of the beast's food chain---tplf.
