The first front was before the exodus where MJ and Og actively helped USC. The second front was the battle of Afgooye and Kismaayo/Araare areas where Majerten understood they were fighting for existence and joined the war fully against USC.
The only thing I will add is SPM/Cumar Jees were completely USC even after Afgooye. SPM/Adan Gabyoow however did join the war against USC post-Afgooye.
Yea ofcourse once the writing was on they wall they did join eventually but in my mind that was too late. Who cares what happened after Dawlada fell. They joined in on USC’s attack on MSB AUN Gov and I still say if USC never touched OG/MJ it would have been all of Somalia vs MR and they probably could have formed a Gov.
