Film about Siad Barre regime (1969-1991)

Post by luis1 »

I would like to watch a movie about Siad Barre regime and his achievements and failures.

Ethiopia and Somalia could create a movie about Barre and Mengistu rivalry.

While his Daarood the beneficiaries of his regime worship him , most Somalia loathe the dictator, so there will never be a consensus.

This is one video according to Awraastaale
During the droughts in east Africa from early 1970s to mid-1980s, millions of Ethiopians perished especially in the northern regions but see how Siad Barre was able to re-locate 120,000 people within 18 days.

He used 615 trucks, 24 transport planes, he built 16 emergency landing airstrips, food provided, clothing. It was swift and phenomenal.

They got allot of ambassadors allot of nepotism favoritisn qaraabokiil in the 1980s your clan was living very large on tax money ofcourse. Marexaan lost the most I could day fweynes regime was built on marexaan military established at least after 1980. And ogaden numbers in the militia after 1977 siyadbarre started dibu dedjin of his ogaden cousins.. You got allot of things from your uncle

MSB AUN didn’t even connect Gedo and Marexaan Mudug lands on the North/South road. Most investment went to Xamar, Hargeisa, Kismaayo. At the end of the day I’m not complaining. He was president of the entire country not Marexaan.

This is the delusions. He created the entire gedo region which was just dust apart from baardheere and luq. He gave your tiny clan a giant boost in political power which they took to steal in the major cities of other clans.

You’re always talking about barre like he had a magic sack of money. Your clan is poor and cannot build a single school for themselves since the collapse of the central government
