Why would I support BLM when in fact blacks kill eachother more? You can’t just say Black lives matter and at the same time you kill your own black people

These are the issues I discussed in the video, please check it out and share it. Black Americans and other Africans are upset that Somalis do not claim to be black. Somalis are Somalis what they have always been. The struggle and lived experience of Somalis is different,the other groups just do not like the fact that Somalis tend to stick together.

If you want to make a change , make it for everyone. I think you are still young but do not get too caught up in "race politics" in America . People of African descent are many , treat someone on an ethnic basis not skin color You don't have to show up at BLM rally to be sympathetic to the cause of the people of African descent in the new world . American blacks or white think everything is about them . We come from a different world and create our own path . That's the essence of freedom. If someone doesn't understand that , they're not mature enough

I can't watch it but if that's what you said then good we're in agreement. Tell them to go learn about Africa . Most so called black Africans don't even know anything about Africa let alone black Americans. Increase your knowledge , get smarter don't worry too much about what's being said on the sidelines or you're just gonna become fake like them. When a black person in America tells you something like that it is essentially the same thing as the white person that says "they don't integrate" . They have a weird tendency of wanting people to become like them , very self centered.

We should be sympathetic to the cause, cause we face racism everyday.

This cause certainly isn’t our fight, it’s important as a community that we don’t get sucked in this pigeon hole of a trap. Best approach would be to refrain from any movements that support division or place value on one group over the other, which is a narrow minded concept we shouldn’t participate.

Hi I agree with you on certain points, but the discrimination Somalis face is because they are "Somalis" not because of blackness. Somalis get discriminated against because they speak a different language, are african, muslim, look different, and to some do not integrate well. Police officers and non-Somalis are able to differentiate between us and other people of African descent. Somalis come from a homogeneous society, their lived experience is different. I support African Americans because I want to repay them for all the sacrifices that they made to allow me to enjoy the civil rights I enjoy as an immigrant. I do this in several ways. I check “Black/African American” when filling out forms especially census related items. I help mentor young African American professionals. I even vote Black and contribute to their political campaigns.

As for the BLM movement, I don’t oppose them. They are highlighting concrete issues that need to be brought to attention. I may not run into them because I am not a youth or because I seem less intimidating to whites because I am an immigrant with an accent.
