I have realised we have the weakest cultural leadership in the horn. our sultan is undisputed yet he is one of the most unproductive peaple I ever seen in my entire life. Zero influence inside and outside of our country . Eidagale has always been our leaders loook at cabdi waraabe and faysal Ali waraabe all isaaqs are happy when they are talking paying attention to their speechs. But our sultan is nothing. today it was the coronation day of the gurgura ugaaas he supposed to be the there on behalf of dir waqooyi.

Somaliland needs to be a society without Sultans and Aqils. They became miniature presidents, they are so powerful that they can easily call upon the masses for war or disobedience of the government. Sultans in this day and age are warmongers, paper chasers, and conflict inciters. The sight of few Koofiyad baclayaal on the TV every day complaining or condemning something, or someone has become the too familiar. It even became very hard to bring criminal case against those corrupt politicians who misuse their responsibilities because they have Sultans and Aqils to use in their pockets.
If it was up to me, I would take the tiles of very Sultan and Aqil and pay him off. Maybe I would have let the Reer Badiye and nomads select their own Sultans among themselves since the rule of law is weak in their part of the country. What is the need for Sultan in the city when we have the government?

Guulwade Yousuf like most of dirty-waqooyis are late bloomers. They find their true daddies at the age of 40.

Regarding the Gurgure in question, they are those from SL region in particular Gebilay where a substantial Gurgure population lives among the various Sacad Muuse clans.

I don’t want to say, you are wrong but your misunderstanding of GURGURE is plain to see. Gurgure are Somalis and they are found in West of Somaliland and kilal 5. However, they are bilingual people as they speak Somali and Oromo (having border with Oromos). My grandmother is Gurgure and I know them well.
