Baafiin Baafiin The Caadani gated community in Mogadishu families
I am a young Habar Gedir guy from the Diaspora visiting Mogadishu in the moment, before 1991 there was a Gated community with 30 beautiful villas in the Medina district Mogadishu called Caadani ( or xaafada Lasanood as it was better known ), with 30 Dulbahante families who all fled in 1991. My dad wants contact with them does anybody here have contact information on this people ? it's about buying some of them. Most of the houses are still standing fine with 7 bedroom, quite large mansions, the homes have been occupied since 91, but I have contacts in the Benadir local government they are soon going to get kicked out. Send me a PM

Sxb, my uncle owned a property in xaafada Shibis. I dont think he recieved his property back after all these years.
I honestly dont what to route you could take now to locate these families as many of them must have fled to different corners of the globe but it is still a commendable effort nonetheless.

Your father seems like a decent man mashallah.
However, I know of Darods whom returned to Mog some years back and visited their former properties.
The issue has never been about getting their homes back. The problem is former cosmopolitan areas are now dominated by single sub sub clans. One guy I know told me the area he grew up in is now like a tuulo from Mudug has been transplanted into Xamar.

OD, a word of warning for you and others out there who appear to have fallen for this baafin hoax. I have a reason to suspect that this supposed HAG guy oo baafinayaa reer ey familigiisa guri u hayaan, is none other than that infamous multi-nicking, homo-porn-material-distributing character that used to go by the alias Tanker. It seems this despicable creature has, once again, managed to elude the clueless mods, and is now going by the new nick Surprise.
