That history belongs to the dhuloos . The ruthless warlord afxkame married his fellow dhuloos just to himiliate him. I think the poor guy hailed from the yaxye Small clan of dhuloos who lived In this area . We conquered garadag long after this incident .

Garadag was a dhulbahante land when Faarax Afxakame married the Yaxya dude. It got the name after the couple divorced, it was indeed a garadag deciding what's the Meher price for the divorce.

I have to completely disagree with you there. I believe it’s the other way around. Islam first came zaylac before being spread south. Zaylac has the famous qiblatayn mosque which was estimated to have been built 620-630. The mosque is older than any other mosque found in Arabia except for the 3 holy mosques and other 2 in saudi. Therefore we can say that Islam was already established in Horn of Africa before most Arabs started embracing it. It may have not been normal Somali (somali clans) presents at that time but it was our ancestors. Plus most sheikhs that most Somalis claim happen to be buried up north. This includes sheikh isxaaq, sheikh Darood, sheikh samaroon and even sheikh abgaal.

The Idoors make up stories.

A Powerful Abaandule called Afxakame (Cali, Naaleeye) in 1860-70s stole the Isaaq bride to be and the gifts her family sent to his distant cousin, Another Powerful Abaanduule called Cali Duulane, (Jibril, Naaleeye). Because of a former grudge the Cali Naaleeye held against the Jibril Naaleeye, During a raid, Wariors were sent by the Dhulbahante against neighboring clans, they took many camels, and divided everything equally, 3 Cali Naaleeye men came upon the members of the raid and told them to give them an equal share of the bounty, they were refused by the Jibril Naaleeye but given 3 Camels. Afxakame was told of this event & took it as an affront to him & his family, he waited to retaliate against the Reer Jibril.

One day he saw camels carrying gifts, He asked “what is this?” And was told “it’s the new bride of Cali Duulane & the camels are carrying gifts for him” He said “the family is the same unload the camels here” They couldn’t refuse Afxakame a powerful Warlord, with hundreds of his brothers, nephews, and cousins around, Cali Dulaane was told of what happened and felt disrespected, his wife to be kidnapped by force! The Elders Led by a Yahye Abdala Chief went to them to mediate & Afxakame told them “shall I marry you instead?” The two Naaleye branches went to War, out of Arrogance, After many skirmishes , Afxakame was struck by Cali Dulaane with a Spear and Mortally wounded, and Cali Dulaane was captured by the Cali Naaleeye, Afxakame told them to release him because the Naaleeye Axmed needed a brave Abaandule to lead them, his cousins & brothers said “who takes advice from a dead man?” so they killed Cali Duulane.

Decades later both their sons will be Abaanduleyaal in the Holy Dervish war! & would take part in many battles including the one Corfield was killed in.

Sheikh in arabic means tribal leader basically Darod and isaaq clans adpted it but in essence they were not religious men. MJ adopted sultanate from near by oman. all gulf leaders hail from ugaas lines 7 of them reached a union in the UAE two tribes are more important al nahyan of abu dhabi and al maktoum of dubai. third is sharija this state is the best i wanna move here it has sharia laws and their rulers are originally from coastal Oman they carry haplogroup E1b1c
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emirate_of_Sharjah

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheikhdom

The sheikhs im talking about is the sufi sheikhs like qafiriya ahmadiya salihiya all spread from south to North

sh abdirahman saylici was from bakool
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Zayla%60i

in 13 century, North was shia, Sufi ashcariya from awbarre(xeebjire shiikhaal) and from south change it to Sunna. when ibnu batuta visited berbera was rafidha(shia)

Cushitic word for Sheikh is Garaad as mentioned by Arab faqih in futuh al habasha late 15 century. sheikh was adopted by the 17/18 centuries after Somalis came in contact with Arabs in yemen and oman and Saudi Arabia.
