How to bring stability to Somalia.

Post by Samatalis249 »

It seems like the parliament members are all freelancers and not affiliated to parties but bought by the highest bidder.

All stakeholders (clans with federal states) should join together in something like Ethiopians edprf so the president is always from a clan with a state and not a clan that is trying to destabilise the country to change the institutions. The presidency should rotate between Hiraab, kablalax and isaaq. The president should have little impact as all things should be determined before hand and the president is just stearing the ship. This is the only route to a peaceful and prosperous Somalia without civil war.

No real stability until government institutions are stronger than clan entities, and until all citizens have equal political rights. Major clans who think they're numerous can seek power through free and fair election just like Kenya. I think Kenyan style democracy with diverse ethnic groups has a lot of lessons for Somalia.
