About 16 somalis died in my city. I myself caught it was in bed for 2 days knocked out. Slowly getting better now alhamdulilah.

A few of the local Somali families began to feel some kinda way about it and no longer call us.

Somali's were behaving as though the crisis was a national holiday.....whole families visiting all day long.

same but i don't know about you they keep coming and pestering me at the door, i pretend i am not home, but they text me we know you are in self-isolation waryaa, come out and enjoy the sun.

But to be honest it has brought us together as a family, constantly on the phone with the family now, they just need to get it into their heads, this is not fun and games, people are dying left right and center from this virus.

I do allow my brother to come by though, boredom can kill too you know.

Up until yesterday, I actually didn't know Sweden was the only country not in lockdown or in any restrictions to curb the COVID19 pandemic as I've come to found out on my local 6pm news. Somali communities in Sweden need to disseminate information both in Swedish and somali language stressing the need to restrict or self impose lockdown within their community even though the country isn't.


No wonder Somalis there are dropping like flies.....

There is a dispute as to whether they should be buried as shahiids.

The masjid was calling for volunteers.....but unsurprisingly there were few takers.

This disgraceful!! Not to mention dambi, all for out of fear of contracting the virus? The right ppe should be provided like the ones those Italians doctor wear in the ICU's of Covid-19 patients. I understand there is difficulty in getting that kind of ppe, but the bodies aint gonna go to the grave by themselves.
