Confederal Somalia in the making

Post by sahal80 »

like most of these who still support the idea of strong central govt i was pro strong federal govt until the end of 2015. this is before the formation of Hirshabelle in oct 2016 as shown in a thread i posted in february 2016. my reason at that time was the Mogadishu xaraami tuugos i think you all now these new bourgeoisie. under the current govt, business men who are related to the top officials have exclusive contracts with them, their hotels host the mps and politicians like CBB such cali daacuun they eat and drink for free there is too much conflicts of interests. Nothing has changed has changed so not only PL and JL i call for a confederal/autonomous-based somali 5 states

my old thread
https://www.somalinet.com/forums/viewto ... 6#p4637594

if this money was directed to Hirshabelle regardless of it's corruption today we could have being avoided another river flooding.

if mayors ruled somalia

Welcome aboard brother, maybe not confederalism itself but nearly this.....federalism with a weak central government but where Somalia is indivisible. I know you don't like the UAE for their foreign policy but we should copy their system of government - they have a Supreme Council made up of all rulers of the 7 Emirates and this council has all the power at the federal level

If states have their own armed forces that means they have sovereignty which means they’re their own country. Somalia should just bulkanise then form something like the EU.

The core of the EU around 17 of the 27 member states are essentially one single country really. Somalia can be like the EU but officially be one country in theory. Many people in France or Italy say their country has become a province of a single country called the European Union

There is some thing called london security conference you should read about it. Hassan sh and FMS agreed on this and when Farmaajo was new he signed in ethiopia to cooperate with the tegray regime on the coming london security conference so Kenya and Ethiopia aka IGAD wanted Somalia to have only defensive army around 18,000 and local paramilitary army(Daraawiishta) and police

3000 clan based SNA from every state. you cant mix the tribal SNA like this govt is doing now in Gedo and wants to do in all regions this will fuck up Somalia again. they nust have to be loual to the FGS but you cant mix them like the old army. this is the problem of Farmaajo. this is good bc if the SNA has tribal/state structure you cant use it against their people they can easly tell them to fk off they wont kill their people like the old army did in many regions like hiiraan and mudug and waqooyi.

secondly the army institution should be independent now you thet r usung for political motivation. army commander shoulbe from minorities or eelaay and he eill worllk closely with all our state ciidamo not the FGS.

this army shoud protect the borders and be in the front line while daraawiishta and police deal with the internal files

read these complaining from the tribal structure of the SNA based on london security pact. this committee is shyt. this is a pact between FGS and FMS and backed by donors and IGAD. waare used to be against SNA opetating in balcad without his consultation i have him criticising the govt all this needs to be corrected. you need to cooperate with every state otherwise they have the right to send back your generals.

"In consultation with the Federal Member States presidents, the chief of defense forces will propose SNA sector commanders to the Ministry of Defense for approval"

That’s basically gumeysi. Somalis need to agree on a political settlement, either agree to a constitution or agree to separate because being stuck in the shell of Somalia sovereignty whilst also having no soverignity at the same time doesn’t make sense. Ethiopia and beesha caalamka support this shit. They want somalia to be poor and on an arms embargo forever and for our only income to be as a outlet for ethiopia. They want the UN guy to rule us forever.

Abdiwahab

Yes, the regional states will fund the central government along with the international community

Samatalis

Are you really Isaaq? Why do you want to go back to before 1991? Most of your people want independence because of the evils of Siad Baŕre dictatorship. You can want a Somaliland that's independent with a powerful central government and military but Somalia is different OK
