Mx did not assimilate wardei at all. Mx has a culture of non-assimilation, while ogaden has a culture of assimilation even assimilating other somalis and oromos. The wording in that writing you posted says quickly that a distinction like that exists between mx who sought to marry local people. We had no oromo sheegads. And they weren't part of our clan, nor did we force them to give us their daughters to marry them enmass. Ogaden married wardei and assimilated them in mass. Some mx could've married warderi and thus their offsprings were discriminated against, so eventually no one would marry wardei. The part about marehan and wardei marriage is very small, few words and it seems the author has not much to say in that regard. Nor does he have much evidence. I want to know who wrote that. Also, the author doesn't know what offsprings of marehan and wardei are called. Any oromo blood in marehan is very very very small. Which happens from some marehan seeking wives from oromo. While ogaden especially mz and abudwaq have very large percentage of oromo. Chances are, they are more oromo than somali. WHat happens if you're half oromo and then you marry an oromo? Your somali is 25%. This is due to assimilation, marriage enmass and having large sheegads to fight for you. Eventually those sheegads become somalis, since there is legit no record of them being killed or expelled from jubbaland. Reer afmadow ogaden are in fact, the remnants of wardei.Seedyare wrote: Thu Oct 29, 2020 6:13 pm UgaasBarakaysan
Ogaden were the first comers of Jubaland followed by Ree Guri Marexaan and Harti .
Suldaan Magan Yuusuf Nuur Magan Warfaa karbashed the Warra-daya as far as Wajeer boor in 1848 .This further cements Ogaden legacy as the first Daarood conquerors of Jubaland.
The swift annihilation of the Warra-daya Gallas by the Ogaden boosted the morale of the other Somali tribes to conduct similar land grabs .Degodia and Garre started to subdue the Warradaya from their end .As a matter of fact, Ogaden married Warradaya and Boran women to bolster their fighting strength but they were not the only ones in such marriage arrangements with the newly found serfs.Ree Guri marexaan and those who came later (Galti) also heavily married with indeginous Boran and Warra daya .So,both Ogs and Marexan had Wiil tulo and Wiil tagoog.

Both OGs and Marehan married from the locals .And who were the locals? Boran and Southern Orma groups called Warra-daya((wardei)

As for the shegads, almost all Somali clans have some smaller groups attached to them.Qabiilku waa dhaqan iyo Dhalasho.Having said that, all southern Somalis have lots of shegads and that includes your beloved ilkayar .Moreso,Marehan have hunters and gatherers called Boon Marexaan.Amongst the Mohamed Zubeir of the Somali fathers and Wardeh Mothers as referred to as "Weil Tullo' as oppossed to the "Weil Tagok", the pure Ogadens .A distinction of rather the same sort exists further north between Rer Hassan and Ree Talhe sections of the Marehan who arrived on the upper Juba about 1830s,and whose sought wives amongst the local people

Re: ugaaska cowlyahan (ogaaden) asked their seat to be taken to Garbaharey
Boon mareexan are not sheegads. It's mx sub-clans who've killed a darood ugaas and were thus given the name of "boon" or "ilkoyar". By other mxs for their murder and mistake. And who've been given fake history of their ancestors eating "animal corpses". And stripped of their rights as mx sub-clans. They are not wardei sheegads or anything like that. I thought you knew this since you keep calling mxs ilkoyar.Seedyare wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2020 3:41 am Sbashi

The historical illiteracy in this topic has brought me a feeling of pity more than anything else; including laughter.
The sheer ignorance is what motivated my original idea of a book, now 3 book series.

it does not matter where people use to live in 150 years ago. today it is marexan that live in afmadow district both from the south and north.
can ogadeen name a single village or even a well that ogadeen own in gedo? i can name over 20 villages in afmadow district that are marehan exclusive. we are pushing them from the north gedo side and from the south kismaayo side.

Ogaden was actually in jubaland, meaning the 2 jubbas
stop hiding behind jubland created today, marehan was not in the 2 jubbas but in luuq, stop cock riding waryada, stop the faan, buuns were not allowed to pass the luuq area till 1970s under siad barre
kulaha buuns were in the jubas, thats like an eastern European using the European name whilst claiming they have rights to western Europe because they are Europeans lool hahahah

Hello professor Voltage, nothing i posted in this thread is 'out of context' .Anyone can read the entire works on Jstor .org .It can be found free and online .I only captured the parts that suited my argument against UgaasBarakaysan.Anyway, when it comes to real unbaised knowldege,i am very open minded and ever ready to study from seniors.I am a truth seeker and independent minded soldier who fight his battles alone .Having said that, I will be very happy if you just pinpoint the historical 'illiteracies' i have made so far.Voltage wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2020 1:59 pm Seedyare, you are like a baby talking to a professor. Let's all see what you have in your books
you may as well check these two maps .They portray a wealth of information regarding clan distribution in Jubaland and Tanaland .
