i was watching and following local MX news on facebook but i think this implies to all other somalis. You have gurbajoog MX coming to places like caabudwaaq/ balanbale / garbaharey/ dolow/ beledxaawo and so forth, each one of them wants to become an MP and each one them pays couple of locals to attend their announcement party.

this is what I think should happen, Anyone that wants to become an MP must first bring minimum $25,000 and donate that to charitable cause on the city or district he or she wants to represent. The charitable cause must be visible such as building schools or digging wells.

that rule should only apply to gurbajoog somalis that want to make a quick buck of somalis without adding anything meaningful to the people they are suppose to represent any local person should be exempt from the $25,000 compulsory donation

Grandpa and Voltage, the most recent addition to the already crowded field of Ilkoyar MP candidates, should now pay the specified sum puposed by Nomad. The above-mentioned gentlemen are now reportedly back home, crisscrossing beesha inhabited regions, in the hope of securing seats in the upcoming selection of the 4.5 based Skinny Duma.

just to update this thread, it seems some of the people that either want to come back or become an MP have started this.

MP Abdi Mire is building a school in caabudwaaq district



this is Musharraxa Xildhibaan Qaasim Cabdikariim who donated $7,600 towards schools and other projects in caabudwaaq district



I want to see this trend continue and expand.
