In 1st Futah Habash, Hirabu surprise attacks Sultan Abubakar to stop coup against Imam. "This Somali has killed" lie.
1. I once shut down the lie about Goyta. Since then no one has commented about Goyta---because Goyta showed the Marehan traditional leader was the highest traditional leader of the Somalis.
2. I once shut down the lie about Malasaay. There were no people or tribe called Malasaay. Malasaay was the Habasha term for "Muslim soldiers" borrowed from the Portuguese "Moor" and Greek "Marausii." This is also were "Saracen" or dreaded Muslim "Assassin" came from.
3. Is it time for me to shut down the lie Hiraabu was a traditional leader hesistant about the Imam and show he was traditional leader who was doing everything to protect the back of someone who led all the people but was special to Hiraabe?

Re: In 1st Futah Habash, Hirabu surprise attacks Sultan Abubakar to stop coup against Imam. "This Somali has killed" lie
He sent (another messenger) to the tribe of Marraihan whose chieftain was Hirabu bin Goita Tedros bin Adam*, and he also sent (messengers) to the outlying Provinces to spur them on to the jihad, for God, and in the way of the Most High God.
Then Hirabu the chieftain of the Somali tribe of Marraihan, killed one of the equerries of the sultan ‘Umar Din when he was in Nageb. The imam heard about what Hirabu had done, and he said to the Sultan ‘Umar Din, ‘This Somali has acted treacherously towards you and killed your equerry.’ So the imam, and the sultan with him, prepared himself for an expedition and set out and arrived at the country of the Somalis, as far as Kidad. Hirabu. meantime, had fled and was hiding in his own country.The imam asked the sultan, ‘What shall we do now? I am going to send for him to hand over the horses, and to pay the blood-money. If he does so, then all is well: if he does not, then I shall go against him, while you go back to your country.’ So the imam sent to Hirabu to hand over the horses, and to pay the blood-money to some sharifs of the family of Ba’ Alawi, the Husainites, may God bless us through their means.”
the Marraihan was, however, wavering. Their chieftain was a man fond of intrigue and procrastination. Extremely wily, he loved double-dealing and swindles.
The imam organised some of his soldiers and went to the Marraihan and confronted Hirabu and his tribe and said to him: ‘Why are you lagging behind in coming on the jihad? Hirabu complained about his plight, and excused himself on the grounds of his poverty-stricken state.
”Now, having finished this, let us return to the earlier narrative, and look at what happened during the Somali campaign.When news of the imam’s leaving for the outlying provinces of Abyssinia reached them, a certain person, by name Hirabu, a chief of one of the Somali tribes called Marraihan, had arrived half-way along the route to the country of Harar. After verifying the departure of the imam to the land of Abbyssinia, he doubled back and returned to his own country.”
This is what he said. You can buy Futuh al Habash on amazon but it is expensive. I read the English translation at my abti's house.

You are incorrect.
That is NOT what Arab Faqi wrote.
That is what 1 claim of 1 out of the 3major versions of the 1/2 of the suriving Futuh claims to have interpreted of what Arab Faqi originally wrote.
I know you are very confused as almost very few people are are aware of these facts (and they are not even controversial or contested---it is basic recorded history), but it is even worse.
The last to be published of the 3 Major Versions claiming to have translated from the suriving 1/2 of the original Futuh isthe one that made this claim.
The first to be published actually says the opposite; Hiraabe was defending Imam Gurey from a coup.
How confused are you right now about the state of misinformation on this issue of the Futuh?

Voltage with all due respect, you lie/misinform about situations/events taking place today with the aim of making your tribe the victors.
You are not someone who is objective when it comes the most basic news but a zealous Marehaan Propagandist. Nobody on this forum takes anything you say as facts or reliable source besides the likes of Saddam/Grandpa...
Spending time and effort researching and twisting history to show that one Geljiree from the 1800 was better than and another, and genuinely believing that nonsense with all your heart, just seems like a waste of western tax payers money.
Ps, from now on anything you post should be moved to Gedo section. The Marexaan Fox News aka Voltage..

2. Since you seem to only have one soundtrack in your head for calling on my person in this discussion forum, I will recycle my last exact rresponse to you as fitting and appropriate a reply.
P.S. Dude, you are so see through you might as well be water. It is always this topic (Adal) or the Somali Script---the two triggers; like you think YOU CAN CONTROL INFORMATION. I am not even going to waste my time, but I will give the same advice again----separate your emotional investment from something that is, at most, a subject for study. It is a losing proposition from the moment the first brain cell even conjured the thought. Man can control information even less than water and air.Why or what I write is really none of your business. You have absolutely 0 entitlement on my time. And that's really what it is; a sense of entitlement which is not unexpected given what I have seen of you.
Your role as a participant to a discussion forum in which we both participate is to critique the discussion not question someone else's freedom of expression.

I know the version you’re about talking. The story behind it getting published is even crazier.

Re: In 1st Futah Habash, Hirabu surprise attacks Sultan Abubakar to stop coup against Imam. "This Somali has killed" lie
"Goyta" makes people "laugh" (and I am not being sarcastic) for the same reason they think there is 1 full Futuh with original Arabic that "just" has translations like English.
When the ONLY Arabic in print is the translation itself from the Egyptian Shaltuut in the 1970's using the 1 out of the 3 versions I named above (Bastet's French Translation of the British version.
Ignorance on the issue.
It's like Americans laughing at the word "Senex" (old men) and "gentes" (clan member) in the context of Rome not realizing the entire system of US government, democracy, Republic, even the titles of "Senate" and "Gentlemen" comes from that same system in Rome.
Sultan, Ugaas, Garaad, Malaaq, Imam, Wabar/Islaw/Islan all came to us from Harar.
And historically, no one on the Muslim sphere could be "Sultan" until the last remaining original Adal Sultanate was disposed in Aussa by the Afar. That's when the far periphery in the Adal sphere (namely around Berbera in North and Caluula in East and down the Shabelle Valley in Afgooye even took that name "Sultan" in 1800's propped up by the end of Adal in Aussa, the Egyptian and then Ethiopian capture of Harar, and Colonialisn seeking protectorate status making new identities and even groups to exploit).
Boqor, and Sultan, have no historical existence to Somali clans until the 1800's and colonialism.
Literally, Boqor is a title, borrowed from the Oromo Gada ceremony leader "Bokku" (holding Ul or scepter) to reach consensus and its existence of use for Somali titles was given creation after colonization; the one clan that first used it id offically "Sultan" as they signed even the Italian treaties.
It is like "Caaqil" created as a system by the Brits for the rer Hargeisa. It is literally a standardized system created by them.
While all this was happening in mid to late 1800's, the declining-Harari Sultanate based in Harar (the original Adal Sultanate moved to Aussa and fell to Afars as noted above) didn't even value.or call themselves "Sultan" by then having favored the Ottoman Sultan as the only Muslim Sultan. They had valued "Emir" and had been calling themselves "Emir" until the end.
Which brings me back to my point; do you know what the highest TRADITIONAL title was under the original historical pedigree of the Adal Sultanate?
Goyta!!!
Gey = land
ger = abode
get = wealth/property
goyta/getta/goota === powerful landowner/majesty over his land/lord of the wealth/warden of trade
Goyta never went away!!
It became diffused after adal fell and everyone could claim the title.
The fact you don't recognize where 95% of somali leadership titles come from today is a reflection of the ignorance in our culture.
It seems my next lesson will have to be on this.
