Overall, a good performance, but appeared a few times fumbling and a bit nervous. What striked me, he never mentioned mucaaradka or name any of their leaders. Even when he talked about Deni & Madoobe, he mentioned them as leaders of PL & JL. That shows confidence. I've learned from the interview some important details.

Verdict: B+

That would be funny, if the country concerned was a sovereign independent functioning country. But, if the international community is paying for your wages, army, safety, defensive, the administration of your country. Then yes, they have every right to treat you however they like.
General duufle

Somalia ain't the only country in the world that gets foreign aid. If anything there are countries such as Egypt, Pakistan, Ethiopia and many other African countries that are dependent on foreign money, and these countries get way more than Somalia even gets. So just we get foreign aid does not mean our sovereignty is for sale. Besides its about time, your president Farmaajo sticks the middle finger at them, and AMISOM can pack their bags.

I am just waiting for the day, when reer Hargeisa are standing in line on the roads of Hargeisa clapping to their leader Farmaajo. 8-)

Fair enough, but that’s not going to reverse itself overnight. Before embarking on a drastic change, your mindset must change first before attaining the end result. The helplessness you speak of will not be reversed without first igniting some sort of self pride, and dignity so you can get up off the mat. Even if the results are not seen immediately if Somalia start opening their eyes to the fact that after Allah they control their destiny, the results of that will be seen in future generations.

Last but not least either you are being extremely naive, or playing dumb if you are stating aid is given out of the goodness of these countries hearts, and their sole intention is to give you a better quality of life. Aid is a mechanism.

Waryaa Murax,

Pakistan gets way more foreign Aid than us, do you see them acting like sellout just because they get foreign aid?

And by way more than us, I mean shit loads. Somalia gets peanuts when it comes to foreign aid. And when it is, it doesn't go directly to the Somali government . They send their aid through these NGOs. And all of these Somali analyst sellouts are under the payroll of these NGOs. That's why there are many Somali analysts that work for NGO's are hardcore anti Farmaajo. Makes sense why they hating on him. He is cutting their haram money.

If anything it's these sellout fake analyst that are gonna be upset with Farmaajo fighting with the west.

Nah man, I support Farmaajo's crusade against these western powers. Fuck their peanuts of money.

If they were sincere they would had invested in us heavily.

Our current situation as Somalis isn’t good compared to the rest of the world. The point I was making however was not becoming a prisoner of our circumstance. Either in this Dunya or Aakhira it is Haram to despair, say woe is me. A lot of Somalis embraced this gloom & doom culture to where they feel our situation is permanent, and cannot change when it CAN, but it will take struggle. It can change, and just like how it took decades to put us in this situation, it will take time to get us out hopefully not decades. The biggest legacy of N&N might be re-instilling that pride, dignity back in Somalis our Parents told us about that was lost. For the first time I am seeing Somalis resent other countries, more than a rival Qabil especially the youth and that is a amazing development in and of itself!

Bro, one thing I always advice my friends and family is to stay positive and aim high even if you think you can't. We Somalis need to stay positive and aim high. I agree with you that some people have lost their dignity, but I disagree with you that our country is isn't good compared to the world. Even with our dysfunctional history since 1991, we as a nation are better than a number of countries in the world. That's another thing we need to stop, by listening to other people narrative of our own nations. Wallahi our country might not have good infrastructure, but it has many other positive trajectories. Just like you shouldn't listen to other people's narrative of your own self, we should not listen as a nation these narratives, all it does is put ur self esteem down and your dignity.

^^

XimaanJaale,

 One thing I do know is Farmaajo is doing fundamental things now, putting Somalia on a path that people will remember him for in the future. When was the last time Somalia didn’t act like a pet on the International scene until now? When was the last time Somalia had the freedom to choose their friendships, allies instead of selling allegiance for 2 million, to buy a house in Nairobi. Tell me one financial scandal Farmaajo was involved in that is credible? Farmaajo I have become convinced is the one Somalia has been waiting for, and I give a rat’s ass who calls me a ‘Guulwade’ for it, I’ll wear it with honor. 8-)

Murax,

Waalaalkiis, I am happy that you are proud of your president and so am I. Even though we come from the same clan, does that not mean we cannot support him because he is not the president of Mareexaania, he is the president of Somalia. And only low IQ people don't understand this fine line between statehood and local level shenanigans.

Btw, have a blessed Ramadan. Stay happy my bro
