This is not a repeat of 1991
Farmaajo is outgunned and has been outmaneuvered politically. He does not have the financial capability, or the charisma required to weather this storm. The prime minister has met with the heads of the security forces, who have reiterated that they will not allow war to take place in the capital.
It's over. Farmaajo's best option right now is to immediately resign so elections can take, in order for a peaceful transfer of power.
Otherwise, he will reputation will be forever tarred, as the man who attempted to reinstate the defunct tribal Kacaan regime, which is the root cause of all the evils in Somalia.

It's obvious what is going on. The only question is what you get out of this?
It is almost beyond child-like the the conduct emanating from SomaliSpot.
In this forum, trolls are starved of oxygen because no one of the regulars could give 2 bits about "fkd" or anything socialization oriented.
We are just interested in old, boring, plain information.
Sincerely, I say don't say I didn't give friendly advice to all half dozen of y'all new

Gubbet,
For fun I try to sometimes have logical conversations with those people over there, gloss a lot of their BS to see if there could be some sort of common understanding, but it ends up in failure, Lol. I will always try to excercise dialogue with Somali diaspora, as once the Qaran Dumis generation of our Parents dies off it will be our diaspora raised generation who will have to come to an understanding. That said those people over there are insane.

Lool nope. Farmaajo might be the last of anyone to claim a real Somali Presidency, or the first of many to come In Shaa Allah
If he loses that’s it I think we will officially become separate states once and for all. Culusow, Shariif, Cabdishakur have no hammi besides being Xamar mayor.

So are you plsaying that the federal government of Somalia will cease to exist if Farnaajo loses, and that each clan will just rule their own lands? That's a bit dogmatic don't you think, you are essentially saying Farmaajo has to stay or it's the highwayMurax wrote: Wed Apr 28, 2021 4:32 pmKhalid Ali wrote: Wed Apr 28, 2021 4:22 pm Diaspora won't change anything farmaajo and kheyre are diaspora u are diaspora. Believe it or not, my only interest in this whole political fiasco as a Somalilander, is that our neighbouring country of Somalia to have a stable government ruled by sane and competent politicians, who will negotiate with the Republic of Somaliland in good faith.

I'm not interested in the gritty primative clan-politics dimension. I just want one side to win and not there to be a stalemate.
Either Farmaajo imposes his will and remains president, or he is ousted and elections are held promptly.
This stalemate serves no one, least of all, the Republic of Somaliland. That is my position.

The problem my friend is, that for some unfathomable reason, with the exception of a few, southern politicians are very fickle and do not care one bit about Somalia.Murax wrote: Wed Apr 28, 2021 6:33 pm TheGrumpyGeeljire,

How do we tackle this problem?
I don't know, but I'm guessing something along the lines of what Farmaajo tried to do, which is to slowly dismember the idea of federal states and centralize the country. It takes a very talented and determined group of politicians to pull that off, and the fact that foreign powers prefer the status-quo makes it every bit harder.
Anyway, to answer your question, I would not prefer these politicians to get back in power but the alternative is worse. Which is war.

Re: This is not a repeat of 1991
He is right Murax is right the picture with the US secretary of state Mr kerry is an utter emberesdement. They are sitting there as school girls on one side to be lecturer to be told what to do. This is shameful really. There is no real fabric that keeps koonfurians together they all play the game to support each other but in reality every man for him self. Though I dislike farmaajo I give him credit to try to restore the statehood and to try to stop foreign interference in domestic Somalia affairs. Particulary from kenya and some arabs and some western country. So we give him some credit for that today deni said he rejected farmajo invitation for talks but will accept of the US UK call for talks. This sort of sobotage aya meesha ka socotta. At least Murax is honest of what wil come when farmajo is removed or resignes.
