Shocking news about Marehan businessman in Nairobi, burnt car/missing
Extremely suspicious circumstances
I know him personally as a very very very close Family friend and relative.
He is Marehan/rer Garaad from Ceelcadde and his rer Abti are Marehan/rer Siyaad Ugaas.
His mom is actually ina Faarax Taano; the sister of Idaajaa and the Abdirisaaaq Faarax Taano, the Ambassador to Qatar.
This reeks of extreme foul play and could be a ransom situation.
Considering the profile the case is taking and who he is, I wouldn't be surprised if the CIA station in Kenya is already involved.

The guy started is construction company almost 8 years ago and one of his projects has been the Ministry of Health building in Somalia among others; a contract he took under Hassan Sheekh.
I have mentioned him a couple of times here;
I have mentioned him a couple of times here;
For example the Ministry of Health building contract was taken by a Marehan biomedical engineer guy from Ohio who decided to build a construction company called Infinity. The ministry of health building was his first contract and now all these brand new hotels you see being built in Mogadishu, he is building it. I mean this guy is now building Condo towers and Hotels IN NAIROBI. All before Farmaajo. I literally remember when he was putting these plans together in 2012.

This is shocking wallahi, the details get more weird. For example, the guy from Ohio who built that Ministry of Health building I was talking about above, the guy wearing red tie in that tweet in ribbon cutting..he is reer Garaad from CeelCadde, his name is Bashiir Gaboobe. He comes from the most famous reer Garaad family in Gedo.

It's really shocking news. Marehan somehow all know each other because I know Bashiir personally as well.
The situation is one of the two cases:
1) They have targeted him and killed him. The contract taking business can be risky, if they killed him it's most likely fellow contractors who are angry he took those contracts. It happens. They do it to eliminate competition. He took big contracts recently.
2) It's a ransom situation. If it's ransom he is most likely alive and they want the money. This is most likely the case, and i really hope it is.

Bashi that is definitely true, every Marehan I meet somehow the degree of separation is never past 2 degrees.
As for the options, Only Allah (swt) knows but logically speaking, number #1 is not what people have in mind with these circumstances.
But to go to the trouble of taking him, burning the car to get rid of all trace, with his body missing---to me it looks like a hostage situation and given who he is, clearly a random case then

i don't think it is his competition but more with people he works with or shares a business with. most cases like these the victim knows the perpetrator. burning the car plus knowing his whereabouts indicates the perpetrators know him on a personal level.Sbashi wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 2:22 am It's really shocking news. plus what does his competitors get from it anyway? the contracts are still with his company it is not like the contract will be put back on the market. the only people that would benefit from it would be someone inside the company who wanted him gone.
anyway AUN if he died.
Re: Shocking news about Marehan businessman in Nairobi, burnt car/missing
Not necessarily know him, but certainly it wasn't random, it shows premeditation. This was carefully planned
Re: Shocking news about Marehan businessman in Nairobi, burnt car/missing
Yeah could be the guys he was about to meet with. They should be investigated.Nomand wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 3:59 ami don't think it is his competition but more with people he works with or shares a business with. most cases like these the victim knows the perpetrator. burning the car plus knowing his whereabouts indicates the perpetrators know him on a personal level.Sbashi wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 2:22 am It's really shocking news. One thing I just find very weird is the conduct of police. How was the car moved AFTER they got to it. I mean how does the biggest evidence in a live case end up gone AFTER the police got to it?
Did any of you catch that?
And why did they find it relevant to identify his clan, that he is originally from "Beled-Xawa" and randomly reference politicit.
It is very clearly prejudicial attempt to interject bias
No wonder his the family lawyers have solicited US involvement questioning the conduct of police

shabshi,
that's the first people i would investigate

kenyan police is not that much different to police in somalia. Don't expect to much from them. infact i would say kenyan police is more corrupt and inept

Re: Shocking news about Marehan businessman in Nairobi, burnt car/missing
No, Kenyan police are corrupt when it comes to lette Kipanda sure, but Kenyan police is not so negligent that something like that happens in a situation like that.
Expensive car, developing high profile case, International consequences---you can smell the importance of the case more than the burnt expensive leather in the Rover.
If I know one thing, Fahad Yaasiin as Somalia's Spy Chiefnwill not rest until he gets to the bottom of it since that's his wife's nephew.
He will do whatever is necessary to do his own private 3rd investigation along wigh the Kenyans and Americans.
Fahad will hire even Israeli ex-Mossad to sniff every trail if he has to.
Whoever did this picked the wrong guy

Yeah that was the weirdest thing in this case. Normally the police would seal off the crime area and leave officers there while waiting for the forensic team to get there. How the hell do you leave a crime area just like that? I thought about it, no matter how incompetent police officers are, this just can't be happening.Gubbet wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 4:20 am One thing I just find very weird is the conduct of police. Re: Shocking news about Marehan businessman in Nairobi, burnt car/missing
My theory could be that once he reached the meeting area, that's when they kidnapped him. They entered the car with him at gunpoint. The CCTV camera doesn't show when he entered the car but only when the car leaves. A lot of time passed between him first coming there and leaving. If the meeting was cancelled why did he stay that long?Nomand wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 4:26 am shabshi,

What if it's a warning to Fahad himself?
Re: Shocking news about Marehan businessman in Nairobi, burnt car/missing
You can’t make money in Kenya and flaunt it the way he did without being a citizen, a citizen would have been more low key. The cctv shows he was acting like some white playboy, handing out money to security guys in a nightclub. Bad idea!
I don’t understand how he can be in kenya for 8 years and not dial down.
Also, the burn car makes no sense, cars are not made of wood, especially a Range Rover, there should have been a shell left.
I understand he had a US passport but he must have also had a Kenyan citizenship, otherwise he could not do business in Kenya.
Hope he is found alive.

Nothing of the sort will happen.
