Another stat in pastoral black hole.

Premature rejoicing. You've been AWOL for months due to failed predictions, and if things don't go your way this time, I think you mightn't come back again.

I think It is comical that someone would set himself off for the same trap twice.
Baydhaba comment
If Barre's nephew is supposed to be a real leader who cares about his gambling clan then it would be natural to think that he would come to his people's rescue and set up a shop in place where it is still practical to salvage Gedo's interest. That is what a real community leader would do.
Where would that be?
Mogadishu
Galmudug lol
Jubbaland lol
Somaliland
Puntland lol
By elimination Baydhaba fits the bill. Plus, it has a big air strip and he can collaborate with ethiopian spies.
A more realistic option
After being kicked out of Mogadishu, he might just fly back to some western capital and enjoy his spoils, thus leaving his gambler clan to the wolves.

Farmaajo was born and grew up in Xamar. He has more rights to Xamar compared to HSM, Sh. Shariif and many politicians who weren't born or grew up there. This is the 21st century; a Medieval mindset isn't practical and won't work. Don't let the events of these days make you disappear.Nolol cusub wrote: Mon Dec 27, 2021 11:16 pm I think It is comical that someone would set himself off for the same trap twice.I understand that gambler's playbook might be little aggressive but not to this extent. Even an average delusional gambler from Gedo knows it is impractical for him to stick around in Mogadishu now. Some of us foresaw this while back, four months to precise.

It is not about who was born in Mogadishu, it is about who can represent its resistance spirit and democratic tradition. It is also who can contribute to its economy and who can get along with the real natives.
I really like though his work in regard to the demolition of 4.5.
