Live webpage of my geocode + coordinates of "Marehan" settlements & localities in central Somalia and eastern Ethiopia.

Post by Gubbet »

Not all the locations are personal geocodes; but many I geocoded in person "on" the land as is not new information here.

For example, here is documentary of my visit to the oasis of Raqo in Doollo, Somali region settled by this community [in a 4 year running drought, the oasis shows its value to its Marehan settlers] ;

Without further ado, here is the live webpage of my geocode + coordinates of "Marehan" settlements & localities in central Somalia and eastern Ethiopia.

I don't ever want to hear anymore anyone asking "where" Marehan live in any part of their land in this territory.

I freely give permission for anyone to use or download any of the material contained therein--- especially for humanitarian and/or social-cultural development purposes.

https://sites.google.com/view/map-of-marehan

The first page contains the map.

The second page contains a sheet of all the geocode + perimeter line.

Off you go into the Netsphere!

The twin settlements of Inagibile (Ina Gabiley) & Ceelasha between Abudwak and Balanbale----these two localities are really "shoulders" ringing Xeraale positioned 3 kms each to the northwest and southwwest;

You ever heard of the term "magaalo joog xumo." That's you Afisone. You literally are "Pharoanic" discursevely having left Somalia less than a decade ago and seem not to have progressed much in civilizational maturity of thought. The extent of your "enlightenment" has been summed down to, as I recall, advancements in basic coding and run on sentences. Now the reason I give that harsh crticism is to proportionally respond to the extent of your disproportional ignorance. Your comment was mean-spirited, regressive, and most of all extremely irrelevant if wholly inappropriate.

The purpose of my topic is about having "geocoded" these places, many of which have never been referenced in spatial analysis, and a large aspect of them either very rural or features serving the nomadic needs of the people there. They are not that different from the vast, overwhelming majority of spaces and settlements and localities implicating the habitation of all other Somalis. And, once again, the porpose is to "add to the body of knowledge."

Your ugly comment, and even worse, your ugly motivation for having had the need to "impose" it on my good senses in my topic only represents the continuing state of your "pharaonic" cultural and civilizational regression in maturity and thought.

Do not, ever, if you be so thankful, impose on me the extent of your ignorance and dearth of maturity ever again, Sir.

I insist.
