UN Human Rights Chief labels the assault on Las Anod as a human rights violation.

Post by Gubbet »

The Salient Point: Attacking Las Anod is a "violation" which requires "holding to account."

Muuse is on record through his official spokes person in written and oral evidence "justifying" military action in Las Anod.

He is on record himself in front of a microphone justifying military action in Las Anod.

That "justification" was a mishmash containing fighting to defend "Somaliland territorial integrity" to fighting to prevent "Al Shabab safe haven."

His government then participated (no one disputes this) in clashes IN Las Anod in which it was one side.

Yet, the UN Human Rights Chief identifies the clashes in Las Anod as something whose culpability should be "investigated" in order to then "hold to account" those behind its perpetuation, i e. ATTACKING LAS ANOD IS A PUNISHABLE HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION; NO EXCUSE.

Muuse is at "I'm defending borders" & "I am stopping Shabaab"---

---AND THE UN HUMAN RIGHTS CHIEF IS SAYING "NO EXCUSE IS RELEVANT FOR JUSTIFYING YOUR ATTACK ON LAS ANOD; THE "ACTION" OF ATTACKING LAS ANOD IS A HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION WHICH WARRANTS PUNISHMENT."

And, therefore, the only thing required is to "identify " that you were "responsible" for causing it.

Wow.

This is the UN Human Rights Chief! He doesn't just comment or about everything! This is significant!

BTW this was released with the International Statement today which called for immediate "de-escalation" or in other words the offensive attacking side pull back NOW from Las Anod."

That statement plus the UN Human Rights Chief's salient identification about the violation of attacking Las Anod are meant to reinforce the warning being sent to Muuse Biixi about the illegality of his attack on Las Anod and his need to pull back NOW.
.
This is choreographed.

Also note the UAE is the only one of the "international partners" which did not sign on to this statement.

Even Djibouti did, let alone IGAD, UK, etc.
