85% of SSC territory is out of Somaliland hands. Somaliland only exists between Goojacade - Guumeys. In just 4 weeks, it was forced to withdraw from the rest of the SSC - Khaatumo territory.

Most of the Somaliland's senior officer corps were killed or severely wounded. Hospitals in Burco and Hargeisa are overflowing with Somaliland military casualties. It got to the point where Somaliland had to draft the police, cast guard, and clan militias to fill the gap vacated by the high casualty rate of SL militia.

The wave after wave attacks initiated by Somaliland forces met with well-orchestrated city defenders. This resulted Somaliland forces being driven out of Laascaanood.

In Laascaanood and Sool region, we formed regional and city government running the government affairs, and local police. We have 33-member committee running as parliament, and Garaads acting as the Senate. We also have an army with over 250 technicals, backed by our next of kins' reinforcements.

Currently, the Ethiopian-led mediation is focused on how far Somaliland forces will be moved from the city. Biixi is requesting 30 kms from Laascaanood. Our Garaads insisted they should be moved to Oog or beyond. Ethiopians requested 3 days to get back with us.

If Biixi and his government don't move their forces to Oog or beyond, the next phase of the war will resume.
