Siad Barre had extremely high IQ.

Post by Gubbet »

Wallahi on this very forum, I remember when folks really believed Cumar Carte used to "translate" for him or this person did "keer" iyo "kan" for him.

It tells me that false information or misinformation and even disinformation was a disproportionately big, if not the biggest aspect of what "galvanized" the rebellions.

Certainly having seen the exposure of "disinformation" by the information age recently in such things as "Somali troops fought in Tigray" spread by nefarious entities all of which had been comically arrested and deconstructed by the set of tools resulting from the advancement in communication like Twitter and social media---I do not doubt for a second that misinformation and even disinformation was an exceptional even significantly incomparable aspect of what galvanized rebellions.

And watching for example this video---of this man who ruled Somalis, rose to such heights, without proper schooling or investment or even "home" having been orphaned so young by conflict; I am left doubting whether his rise was a "chance."

No, he was destined to rise. His fate was to lead. His IQ level is very self-evident in this regard.

That he was President Siad wasn't chance, it was nature.

I remember it was the previous ramadhan when I was having this conversation. I said, this is what they did with MSB aun. But thank god it isn't working as well with farmaajo due to social media and new technology.

A famous story is how during the rebellion era, some usc would wear the red beret uniform. They'd put on red hats and terrorize the residents of xamar, robbing them and/or beating them up. Then another group affiliated with the first group would go to the victims inciting them further. Then they'd spread the news, have you heard of hiblaya the good well-liked person? Well, the red berets have attacked them. Then the shacab would get angry, "caku this government always oppressing and killing us". Usc tactics are very well - known.

He was very intelligent. Cumar Carte or someone would translate Arabic for him but he was otherwise fluent in English and spoke several Romance languages to various extent.

Kacaan kids keep living in the past, the sad reality is, your afweyne died in exile on a toilet.

But I guess that’s all you got going for you now, wanking over shamed and disgraced dictator.

I would agree he was very intelligent man. His downfall was that he lacked a unified vision of the longer-term future for Somalia.

You can't survive 21 years ruling Somalis - we are animals for the most part- and not be at least above average in intelligence. You have to be very cunning too.

The lion replaced by the hunter. The Ethiopian, replaced by the Eritrean. You’ll never get my respect because you not beezani. Farmaajo put you in your place. You are left. That photo is the truth. Hope it haunts. I did hunt you. And I will hunt you until one of us dead. The Cold War is getting heated up now. After all you are the left. We do hate each other, Culturally. After you followed the rule of two with Uhuru. I did the same with my non halfblood president. Enjoy that international humiliation. It was black Italian
