Men like Jimcaale, a commander who DESERTED his post? I mean the guy is in active military engagement anf he literally, consequentially, and materially DESERTED his post. That is a capital punishment in military code of conduct the world over and throughout history.

Abdullahi Yusuf considered my clan an enemy and my clan considered him an enemy even up to his death. Yet there are two thing that will forever endear that man to me which causes me to fundamentally respect the man he was;
1. He was not implicated in petty corruption which is now a DISEASE, nay a PANDEMIC in Somali governance;
2. He slapped his clan hard and fast into a straight single file line with form, discipline, and order that would make robot soldiers open their mouth with jealousy.
Most people do not know or no longer recall, but Faroole was kicked out of Puntland to flee back to Australia during Abdullahi Yusuf's time.
The apples apparently didn't fall far from the tree, because Faroole himself attempted what his boys and clansmen are attempting to now do in Garowe which they consider first their sub-clan fiefdom before Puntland's capital.
Abdullahi Yusuf bulldozed through Faroole and his supporters INSIDE Garowe and ACTUALLY chased him back to AUSTRALIA.
Clearly Puntland needs a tough hand from within to slap this kind of shenanigans back out of Puntland once again.
