A lot of iidoors were questioning whether Marehan were in Lascaanood.
I've been told they were there in significant numbers and were totally self financing.
Furthermore, a lot of the local girls took a shine to them, and I suspect when the war is over a lot of young soldiers will return with wives inshallah.

They were part of the unit of special forces with special training sent to reinforce. Captain Canjeex is a sharpshooter who quickly trained others on the job on the field a cohort of SSC sharpshooters quickly produced for the exigency.

Coincidentally my grandfather's mother was the niece of Cali-Dhuux Adan Goroyo, the daughter of his brother Aw-Abdi Adan Goroyo. My grandpa's father went left Marehan Country for Nugal to join the Dervishes. He came back Buro/Warder with his wife, my great-grandmother in tow. Her father succumbed to the war and Cali Dhuux himself gave her hand in marriage to great-grandpa. The first to pop out was my mom's dad.

Canjeex is famous for training snipers.
During the early part of the war, iidoor snipers were deployed on all the surrounding hills to devasting affect.
I remember 14 SSC fighters being killed in a single day....all by headsets
Canjeex took charge of the counter sniper and training programme........by the end of the war there were no more iidoor snipers and dozens of SSC snipers.
What I'm also hearing is that the young age of the fighters lent themselves to be easily adaptable and learn quickly during the war.

Thousands of Darwiish were martyred charging onto the Maxim Guns of the British and Colonial troops.
Hundreds of Marehan shahiids are buried their.
You should visit and lay the cornerstone for a future Masjid in their name.
And Allah swt knows best
