No oil company will ever invest in Somalia onshore oil reserves. It takes around 10 years and $ Billions before they see a penny in returns. No company will risk it.

The offshore oil reserves is another completely different matter Technically, you can sail a floating oil production platform and produce oil that is pumped into waiting oil tankers. You don't ever have to set foot on Somali soil.
