According to the news, Mogadishu is in violence and forced up to 100,000 people to flee their homes in April. I'm extremely concerned about the security of Mogadishu, hope people be safe.

It was a few months ago when so-called 'salvation army' (aka badbaado) forced 100,000 people to flee their homes, but the situation has eased up after 'badbaado's objectives failed & were forced to flee. As long as you stay in low profile, stay away from locations where the diaspora congregate, dress as the locals, and use common sense--you should be fine.
